People.com reported today that Nicole Richie has enrolled in an 18-month anti-drinking program.

Richie was arrested for a DUI last year and was sentenced to only four days in jail this summer. She actually only served 82 minutes in jail; so why would she sign up for an 18-month program? Wouldn’t that put a cramp in her baby delivery schedule? Richie is six months pregnant and is due in December.
