Do You Remember Your First Kiss?
I actually can’t remember my first kiss, unless you count my kindergarten days. And, I don’t really know if it’s something that I’ve always just imagined that’s now a part of my memory. But, it could possibly be that my first kiss was with a boy named Michael while waiting for my turn to go down that shiny, silver slide on the playground.
If you can’t remember your first kiss either, it’s not a total loss because Kissable Couture has created a collection of lip glosses that will help spark your memory of that sweet and delicate (and maybe not-so-delicate) first kiss.
Kissable Couture is a new luxury cosmetics line that just launched in the fall of 2007 and is the result from a collaboration between Keisha Nash Whitaker (the lovely wife of actor Forest Whitaker) and makeup artist AJ Crimson.
The debut collection from Kissable Couture is called “First Kiss”, featuring seven lip glosses – each color named after a boy who quite possibly could have been the one who gave you your first kiss.
Chris: sheer nude
David: pinky bronze
Dylan: coral with shimmer
Eric: coppery bronze
Johnny: pink with gold shimmer
Forest: rusty crimson with shimmer
Tyler: shimmery purple
All of the shades are super sheer – very innocent and flirty, guaranteed to make your man come hither and give you a kiss (mine did!). I also love the fact that they’re glossy without being too shiny or sticky. The only downside to this is that the formula is pretty thin – you can’t get an all-day wear from these glosses. If you don’t mind reapplication, you can wear them alone for a lovely sheen with a hint of color, or layered over a complementary lip color.
My favorites of the bunch are David (I wore this to the BF’s holiday party this past weekend), Johnny, and Tyler.
These lip glosses retail for $22 US and are available at Kissable Couture online and luxury boutiques Henri Bendel (New York), Apothia at Fred Segal (Los Angeles), and Lady L (Houston).

Things have been kind of crazy lately and my minds been scattered! I’ll look back through the e-mails and try to find yours and send you an e-mail regardless (that lip set looks SO pretty), I’m sorry about that girl!

Hi Christiana,
At first I was taken aback when I tried them on because they looked so pigmented in the tube. But I was pleasantly surprised by the sheerness – sometimes a hint of color goes a long way, and these babies prove it
Thanks for stopping by! And Happy Holidays!
