Got the Blues?

It’s been awhile since I’ve been compelled to pay so much for a nail polish, years probably – the last color I purchased from CHANEL was Vamp, many, many moons ago.

But when word came out that CHANEL would be releasing a navy blue color – Blue Satin – from their Aurora Blues Collection for spring, I knew I had to get my hands on it.

Blue Satin is a deep navy shade, that’s looks almost black in most lighting. But in sunlight and at various angles, the blue shimmer really shines through making it a beautiful shade to wear.

When I first wore Blue Satin over New Year’s Eve, I applied two coats to my nails; this proved to be too dark. So I tried it again, applying just one coat and this time, the true color with all its blue shimmer glory really comes through and I love it!

CHANEL’s Blue Satin ($19 US) is on counters now along with the other Limited Edition shades for spring – Rose Satin, White Satin, and Azur.

What nail color are you wearing today?  I hope you have some fun plans for the weekend!  I’m going to revel in the last NFL playoff games before the Super Bowl in a couple of weeks.
