Review: La Mer The Cleansing Foam
You know, I’m a sucker for things that I see on TV. And watching too much Fabulous Life: Presents… on VH1 doesn’t help either because I end up wanting everything I see on that darn show – the houses, the ultra-chic vacations at spa resorts, the designer clothes, the swarming ladies… wait, no, not that one.. and all the luxurious beauty products I could ever want.
This is where I first learned of La Mer and its (in)famous Crème de La Mer that all the celebrities were raving about. Not too long after that episode of Fabulous Life, even my mom called me up and said, “Honey, can you run out to Saks and get me a jar? We don’t have La Mer in Barstow.” Go figure.
Fast forward a few years and now I get to use La Mer for myself, starting with their new Cleansing Foam that just released this month. This stuff is amazing!
The cleanser has marine extracts that helps prevent irritation and calms the skin, perfect if you tend to be a little more sensitive. It also contains an exclusive combination of fine pearl and jade powders that acts like a daily exfoliating system to keep your skin silky soft.
Okay, I know what you’re thinking. It’s La Mer – it’s too expensive, you can probably find something just as suitable at a more reasonable price, and it probably doesn’t even work as well anyway. While the first two points might be true, I gotta defend my new love in The Cleansing Foam and say, yes, I do believe it works!
My skin feels supple, smooth, and dare I say, radiant?! As for the price, I know it might be scary but I’ll tell you now, a little will go a LONG way. I only need to squeeze out about a pea-size and it’s more than enough to cleanse my entire face and not leave a lick of dirt any where! This stuff will last you for months.
So if you want to splurge ($65 US), feel a little chic and live like the celebrity you know you are, go grab yourself some Cleansing Foam, now!
Available at select Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and online at www.lamer.com.

Shoot, girl. I’ve been trying to tell myself I don’t want to try LaMer, but now you’ve got me convinced. I’m mad at you!
