Fafi Week: Day 4 - Rollickin’FOTD
Do you ever have those days where you just don’t know what makeup look you want to do? Are you going to go natural? Smoky? Bold lips? You still don’t know so you just pull out all the colors you have and just start slappin’ it on your face?
Well, that’s how I felt today. I just pulled out my Fafi haul and just started applying colors wherever it felt right on my face. And here’s what I came up with - a Rollickin’ eye that’s concentrated on just the middle of the lid. I gotta say, this is pretty far out there for me. Although, I don’t know why the colors never look as bold when I take pictures of them (this one was pretty colorful) and if anyone’s got pointers, I’d love to hear them
Eyes:
- Fafi Perky Paint Pot (brow bone)
- Fafi Rollickin’ Paint Pot (middle lid)
- Fafi Eyes 2 You’re Fresh (outer lid)
- Fafi Eyes 1 Hey (inner lid, over Perkey)
- Eye Pencil in Black
- Cover Girl Lash Blast in Black (2 coats)
Cheeks:
- Fafi Hipness
Lips:
- Fafi lipstick in High Top
- Lipglass in Bow Belle

That look is great on you! It’s got colour but it’s subtle at the same time. Love it.

Hi Henna,
Thanks for stopping by!
I’m not a pro at the makeup thing, so a lot of my looks are more subtle - especially since I have to go to work at the office

I like that its subtle yet with color. I like it! Rollickin’ looks really great on you!
When I take my pictures, I try to make use of natural lighting so I stand in front of the window when I take them. That way the colors show as accurate as possible. That, and my color is packed on there. But sometimes, it’s just angles and if you have your flash on, there’s bound to be some color wash - darn the flash! Lol. Ok, don’t know if that answered your question, but there’s my take on it, hah.
Hope you’re having a great weekend hun!

Hiya Mrs. Lynne,
I like Rollickin’ too, but the formula isn’t as easy for me to work with like Cash Flow and Nice Vice has been.
Yeah, I think I gotta try taking more photos in natural lighting but because I’m taking the photos early in the morning before I go to work, it’s still kinda dark in my bathroom. Plus, standing in front of the window makes me squinty, but that’s a whole other issue - LOL!
I find that the flash always washes out the boldness of the colors, but sometimes the light reflection makes it stand out a little too. Oh bother, I just gotta keep experimenting!
Hope you’re having a fabulous Saturday, girl!

Finding the right settings is so frustrating sometimes. I’ve experimented in so many different situations and rooms and finally found a combination worthy for the meantime. I really like taking pictures in the bathroom but because of the light, it always turns out yellow for me. The face shots in the bathroom are nice, but close-ups are a whole other color because of the yellow tinge.
I also try adjusting my exposure setting and flash setting sometimes.
I’m having a fast weekend.. boo! Lol.

Always find your tips so helpful! I think the next thing I’m going to have to play with is the exposure and flash settings.
Must keep on pluggin’ away as usual
My weekend went by super fast too! Back to Monday tomorrow!
