Get Red Carpet Ready with Bésame
Celebrity makeup artist, Jenna Busch for Bésame, gives some us some tips to get Oscar-ready, just like the celebrities.
Busch tells us that color is a huge trend this season - we’ll see it on the gowns and in beauty looks. Just choose one area on your face and play it up with color.
For standout lips, try Bésame’s Exotic Pink or Bésame Red and pair it with a beige eyeshadow and some mascara to create a classic look.
Or rock a jewel-tone and play up your eyes with Pistachio Shadow and Emerald Liner. Finish off the look with a nude lip and natural cheek color, like Champagne Lipstick and Sunkissed Rouge.

I was about to say how much I want to try Besame but the brand’s too out of my price range. But now I realized that it’s actually gone from Vancouver altogether.
What colour do you like to use to play up your features?

Hi Anna!
I didn’t realize that Besame was in Vancouver - what a bummer that it’s gone now
I really like to use red to play up my lips. For my eyes, I think I look best in purples. What are your favorite colors for your features?

Ugh! For a second there, I read Jenna ‘Bush’ and got really irate. I was wondering why Besame would give that drunkard a job.
Besame’s lipsticks are really sub par ans and so small; I’ve received larger lipsticks for free in GWP bags. I had one in Red Velvet and while it was a beautiful color, the texture was awful. It would separate on my lips and I’d end up with two-toned mouth.
I love the Pistachio green eyeshadow, though. It’s such a beautiful, sophisticated and slightly exotic color, and makes my brown eyes look richer and deeper.

Hey MandyPandy!
Ew, Jenna Bush just needs to get married so that she can continue to have cocktail time at the country club instead of the night club.
Wow, two-tone lips don’t sound good at all - the first thought that came to mind was the awful dark lined lips with light lip color from the 90s, ick!
I remember you saying that Pistachio was a lovely color. The only thing about it is I hate buying things online that I haven’t seen in person.
Hope all is well girl!
