Heatherette Lollipop Loving & Sock Hop = Love

heatherette-lippies.jpg

The standout lippies from MAC’s Heatherette collection are the beautiful fuschias of Hollywood Nights lipstick and Style Minx lipglass, and the coral shades in Lollipop Loving and Sock Hop.

But, from the moment I applied Lollipop Loving on my pucker, I just knew it was something special. I’d never been a die-hard lover of corals, but these lippies were enough to convert me. This is officially my new favorite lip combo for the season!

Lollipop Loving is a mid-tone coral with green flecks of iridescence in MAC’s glaze formula. As a stand alone lip color, you can really catch the green-gold shimmers in it. I like to wear lipstick and lipglass combos together for the most part since the color lasts longer and I just really love gloss.

Here, I wore Sock Hop, a shimmerless mid-tone coral cream over Lollipop Loving, which took away some of the iridescence. Next time, I think I’ll try wearing the lipglass underneath to see what kind of look I get.

For this simple, fresh-faced FOTD, I gave myself a light bronze eye, used Fafi Hipness blush, and my new favorite coral lippie to run errands over the weekend. Trust me, I’m going to sing the praises of this combination for a while!
