MAC Strobe Collection: Lip Swatches
I’ve heard quite a bit about MAC lip conditioners, but I’ve never had a chance to try them. Mostly because if it’s clear, I’d rather use my regular lip balm, Blistex DCT. For $3 bucks, it works just fine.
However, with the MAC Strobe collection, I’m quite curious about the tinted lip conditioners. Anything with color in them intrigues me.
So off I went to the MAC counter to swatch the lovely colors. In the black and white tubes, the colors look really intense. But when swatched, they’re sheer as can be.
Strobe Beam Clear with strobe pearl
Strobe Blossom Light blue/pink with red strobe pearl
Strobe Current Sheer plum with golden red strobe pearl
Strobe Kiss Sheer coral with a golden strobe pearl
Strobe Rays Light caramel with golden red strobe pearl
My preference of the five colors would be the three in the middle. They’ve got a little hint of color, enough to sass up the lips with one swipe. Even the Boyfriend can’t resist them, they just enhance the natural color of my lips perfectly.

I find the TLCs in the tube to be too sheer for me overall, although the ones in the pot are just fine. They deposit enough colour to justify me buying them over regular lip balm. So I’m guessing you didn’t buy any then, Lilan?

Lilan, I am sooo sad. I checked EVERYWHERE last night and I think I have to get a new one. Thank goodness I dled everything from there the day before. Sheer coincidence, yah? Like my camera already knew it was going to hop the fence. But still, it suuuucks because not only am I busted (big time!) but I’m without documenting equipment

I definitely agree that these are super sheer. It’s a nice tube to carry around for a touch of color - if your lips are more pigmented, it might not be worth it. But if they aren’t, it’s nice to have this since it’s conditioning and has SPF - yay!
I haven’t gotten any yet, but I’m leaning towards Blossom or Kiss. We’ll see!

That’s a total bummer about your camera. If it makes you feel better, the last camera I got after I lost it at my cousin’s wedding was the third camera we had in a year! Believe me, the Boyfriend and I were not happy at all. Hopefully it will turn up somewhere and not sitting in a taxi cab in Orange Country somewhere…
Maybe one of your tykes hid it from you?? I know you’ll find it, girl!!

Thanks hun. I’m hoping it turns up too but I’m not counting on it because there are only a few places it would be that I actually can check (the truck, the rooms, the bags, etc…) and since I super checked those areas that only leaves me to believe that I left it somewhere when we were out.
I don’t think Hubbo is upset just more irked because I”m always forgetting things so this definitely doesn’t help me score brownie points, lol. I’m just waiting for him to offer to get me another one so I don’t have to ask since he is Mr. Breadwinner
