Oh, and BTW: in case anyone is interested, I hear that their new anti-cellulite creams are insanely effective. Just a few days ago I heard from a woman that it cut her cellulite by two thirds in a few weeks.
(I DO have cellulite myself, just don't fell like bothering with it. :-)

I know this may sound as if I were paid to advertise for them, but... well, I am NOT. :)

I hope t works for anyone here who might want to try it.
(And if not, just try water infused with birch leaves and/or ground coffee. Just not together. :))

I live in Europe and have been using Vichy creams for the past 10+ years. They are only sold in pharmacies (I don't know why), and their price is indeed surprisingly modest (they are NOT exactly cheap) for their extraordinary quality.

I have - well, HAD - jars of skin creams from almost every skincare company (including Dior - how silly!) sitting around my bathroom forever, half-used. Vichy products never had the time to linger around. I scrape every little bit out of the jars, including around the lid - not out of economy, but because they simply feel too precious to waste.

Having said that, I have noticed that choosing JUST the right one can be even trickier than with other brands. You just have to try them (thank God for samples! ;) regardless of what the pharmacist - or even their catalog - tells you.
For example, there was a totally wonderful cream called NOVADIOL, which was marketed (discreetly, of course) as being for women "over fifty", against sagging. I was nowhere fifty, but figured that it contained some hormone-activating ingredient (i did: soy and other flavonoids), which - I kept on figuring - might help my skin to be firmer (I have no wrinkles, so I had no use for their many anti-wrinkle creams). So I tried it, even though the pharmacist tried to convince me it wasn't for me. Well, guess which one of us was right...? :) It was totally wonderful, the best I've used in many years - or ever.

Unfortunately, they thought of "improving" it - Vichy does that A LOT, it's my one complaint about them! - and launched a "new and improved version called NEOVADIOL. While I hear it's very popular, I thought the older version was much better for me, so I stocked on it... (: But I am sure I''ll eventually find a worthy replacement.

So, naturally I am surprised that they seem to be unknown in then USA.
I hope you like them!
I know I do. ;)

Hi Stephanie,

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Let us know what you think of Vichy. The only product I had to give a thumbs down to was the Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care from the NormaDerm line. The consistency on my skin was off, weird, white and splotchy - not cute :(

Thanks for the well wishes, I'm actually feeling a lot better!

Hope to chat with you again soon!

I'm trying out Vichy for the first time right now. I heard their Norma Derm line is pretty good, since I have combo oily skin, I have high hopes for this line. I love the smell of all of their product, it's so refreshing, but I also know they are not supposed to have so much perfume in the product since they say they are safe for sensitive skin.

Feel better soon!

Hi Susie,

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I've never heard of this either - I think I'll spend some time researching too. Skin signaling sounds interesting. What did you think about it?

Hope you're having a good weekend so far!
