Some of you have emailed and commented asking what that beautiful shade the model here was wearing and I can now report that she is wearing Deluxe Lip Pencil in Almost Nude ($18.50 US), Colorscope Lip Color in Wisteria Cream ($17.50 US), and Moonbeam Reflective Gloss in Solstice ($17.50 US).
I’ll say that I was really hoping to be able to recreate the brilliance of the lip color, but when I tried the combo, I was disappointed that it wasn’t exactly what I was expecting. However, the pinky nude color that I got is one that I do like a lot – if I hadn’t had any expectations. It really is nice for daily wear.
I also really love the texture of the lipstick. It’s really creamy and luscious and doesn’t dry out my lips at all. The other thing I really liked about it is the fact that I can get even color with one swipe, perfect to keep in your purse or pocket for on-to-go situations!
Hope you have some fun Saturday plans today! It’s going to be really, really warm in San Francisco today (80 degrees!) so the Boyfriend and I are going to pack a picnic and spend the afternoon at a park after we go for a stroll down San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. I think I’m going to have to change out of this turtleneck, don’t you agree?
Then later this afternoon, I’m heading off to the Chanel counter to check out their new Summer collection!

It looks really pretty on you. You’ve been really finding these amazing colors that compliment your skin! Now help me please, hah.
And is it just my monitor, or does the model’s lips look chappy?

Thanks Mrs. Lynne! It would be so fun to go makeup shopping with you – we could get our hands dirty and find new fun colors together!
I’m not sure, it may just be your monitor because I think the model’s lips look really purty!!
How’s your Saturday, did you do anything fun?

yah, probably is my monitor because i don’t remember the last post looking like this – that’s odd, lol.

Oh Borders, how fun! Did you get any fun books to read? Tomorrow is our chore day, so we’ll be doing laundry and hitting up Target – woo hoo!

I didn’t but I did find a makeover book that I wanted. I was just reluctant to spend $21 on it as I might be able to find a better deal for it on Amazon. If there’s one thing that I do order online, it’s books, hah.

Oh which book is it? There are always deals on Amazon, yay for online shopping!!

It’s called “Makeup Makeovers”, I think. The photo of the cover is on Hubbo’s phone and he just left for work. But I know it has the word makeover in the title, lol. And the book image is one side an unmade face, the other half a madeover face.

I haven’t been browsing around the beauty books at Border’s lately – you’ve inspired me to go for a visit soon (hopefully!).
The makeover book sounds really fun – does it feature makeup techniques in it?

It has a few basic techniques, but for some reason it’s always nice having them in print because for me it just makes me realize how sometimes even the basics can easily get overlooked.
What i love though is how they show before and after pictures of the girls. Its an amazing transformation. And they state what they were trying to accomplish. Like from raw pictures, some of the ladies’ eyes looked very close together, but with the right colors, they were able to brighten up the look and create the illusion that they weren’t as close as they seemed. It really is an interesting book. I’ll probably check out Amazon on it later today!
