I’ve Got a Crush on Spring Pinks

pretty-in-pink-flower.jpg

Once in a while, I’ll surprise a few folks by mixing up my wardrobe and throwing in a few hot hues here and there among my sea of black sweaters and blouses. Keep in mind that I’ve owned this pink sweater for a few years now, but every time I wear it, I still get second glances and comments from my coworkers saying that I never wear colors and how nice it is that I am :D

Today, I did a really quick pretty in pink look using some new eye shadows I got from Coastal Scents. Rose Sparks is a rosy mauve with gold shimmer – anything that has gold shimmer, I like! You can wear it as the prominent shade like I did here, or in a smoky purple combo which I’m going to try next.

Hi Light Violet is a pearly violet shade I used as a highlight. At first I thought it would look a little chalky or pasty on me, but it has a nice amount of shimmer that really made my eyes pop. The shade would be perfect to re-create Nicole Kidman’s ice queen beauty looks – in a good way, of course! She does the ice queen look so well!
