On-the-Go Beauty with Bobbi Brown
This morning, it was really hard for me to roll out of bed from a whirlwind weekend in the Windy City. I know I’m not the only one strapped for time some mornings when I’m too tired to get up and just happen to hit the snooze button one too many times. And because my morning’s already off to a shaky start, my makeup shouldn’t have to suffer too, right?
Bobbi Brown knows just how to help us ladies pull off the “look like I’m not wearing makeup but I am” with her latest Quick Face Collection.
Here are her recommendations to completing a full look in just 5 minutes to help you get out the door on time on those strapped-for-time days:
7:56 am: Lighten dark circles with a pink- or peach-toned Corrector paired with yellow-toned Creamy Concealer. For me, I’d used Light Bisque Corrector and Sand Creamy Concealer. To find your shades, check out Bobbi Brown’s Foundation and Concealer Guide.
7:57 am: Use your fingers or a makeup sponge to spot-apply Foundation where skin is uneven, blotchy or dark.
7:58 am: Get a healthy-looking glow with a neutral shade of Pot Rouge. Try new shades Raspberry or Pink Raspberry.
7:59 am: For a fresh and polished look, swipe on a shade of Lip Crayon that looks like the natural color of your lips. Go one shade darker if you wish, like the makeup artist that gave me my Nude look suggested.
8:00 am: Complete your look in just 5 minutes by giving your eyes a little definition with a neutral shade of Long-Wear Cream Shadow, now it five new shades – Malted, Navajo, Cement, Stone, and Slate. Finish off with a couple of coats of your favorite black mascara and you can be out the door by 8am and on your way!
Thanks goodness I made it into the office on time today
What are your favorite on-the-go beauty products you reach for when there just aren’t enough minutes in the morning?

Well, I don’t usually take them on the go with me, but I find Becca’s creme blush and Anastasia’s ‘Brow Wiz ‘ pencil help pull my look together. I think that glowing cheeks and well groomed eyebrows are the secret to looking polished and healthy. If I have a little more time, I also apply my 3 Custom Color Concealer trio.

Big BB fan here…of course! : )
My fave product is def. the pot rouge. Easy to use and gives a decent amount of longevity.
Great breakdown of the five-minute face!

I’m baaack! I see you’re still in Chi-Town, sista girl. I miss keepin’ up with everyone’s blogs and postin’ entries. But now Iz back! I seriously am in loooove with BB. I finally purchased my first Shimmerbrick and am in love. It just looks so damn pretty. Looks like I gotta get up wit the pencils.

Hi Mandy,
I wish I could get my brows done by that brow master! How is the Brow Wiz pencil to use? I normally use shadows to fill in mine, but a Chanel artist did mine with a pencil once and I really liked how it turned out. Too bad I could never replicate it…
I agree that one could definitely get away with rosy cheeks and good brows for the day! Can’t wait to try more creme blushes – really like my Lancome one a lot

Hi Jennifer,
I think I just need to find the perfect shade in the Pot Rouge. So far, I haven’t been able to get into it because of that. What’s your favorite color? I need a good lip/cheek product for my purse

Hey Brittany!
You’re sooooo lucky you’ve got a Shimmerbrick to play with! I’ve been dying for the Pink Quartz one from the holiday, but I’m soooo broke right now

BB is my fav to go to for the no fuss natural looks. I’m thinking of finally purchasing one of her neutral palettes since they’re so easy. Somedays I just don’t wanna think if x shadow and x shadow match.
Welcome back from Chicago too.

Hi Anna,
I definitely think a BB palette is the way to go for those days you just don’t want to think about it. I only carried two palettes with me to Chicago – a Rimmel quad and my Laura Mercier Petite Eye Palette in Nightfall. Works wonders!!!
Hope you had a great weekend, Anna! I gotta stop by your site and catch up on my beauty reads

Although I think you’re in San Fran, Bobbi Brown will be on Cosmetics 1 at Bloomingdale’s on 59th St in NYC from 11am to 1pm on April 17. Her beauty team is there all day – like 10 to 6. Besides that, I really like your blog! xo

Wait – you’re in Chicago, not San Fran…

Welcome back!
I love the pot rouge in Blushed Rouge and the pot rouge in Pink Raspberry. The Blushed Rose is a really flattering color. For extra impact, I use the Pink Raspberry on top for a great pop of color on the apples. : )
I like the Blushed Rose on my lips too, but I finish it off with a gloss or balm on top.
BTW looking forward to more of your FOTD looks! I love them! : )

Hi Colleen,
Thanks so much for stopping by! I live in San Francisco now, but boy do I wish I were in NYC for the Bobbi Brown event! Will you be attending that??
What are your favorite BB products, I only just discovered how much I liked the line late last year

Hi Jennifer!
Oh it’s really nice to be back – and I love all your beauty recommendations! Pink Raspberry was a nice collection but none of the products really moved me. I STILL need to get that Pink Quartz shimmerbrick into my makeup bag. Someday soon I hope!

Hi Armine,
It’s hard for me to find something from Bobbi Brown I don’ like… well, I’m not a fan of the Everything Mascara at all, but everything else is pretty good!
