Dear Top Chef, Please Send Lisa Home
I have never disliked any cheftestant as much as I really hate Lisa from this season of Top Chef in Chicago. The girl is absolutely abrasive, not a team player, always has a foul look on her face, AND has been on the very bottom for the last five, yes that’s right, FIVE challenges in a row.
Fine, Dale is probably not a favorite either, but I’d much rather watch him cook than Lisa. And while I understand why Dale had to leave after this week’s Restaurant Wars episode - they always send the executive chef of the losing team home, just once, I wanted the judges to justify Lisa being the worst of the bunch this week. She screwed up Laksa, which she’s claimed to make before and Sticky Rice with Mango, a classic in Thai cuisine. Even my mom can make that well and she barely cooks.
As you can see, I’m extremely upset with Top Chef, not because I don’t love the show, it’s clear that I do; I just hate seeing Lisa come back week after week. But, I do find comfort in the fact that she will not make it all the way and that next week will surely be her week to pack her knives and go - I’m keeping my fingers, legs, and eyes crossed!
Have you been following Top Chef? What do you think of the cheftestants who are left? I have my favorites but I’m not telling who my vote is for just yet!

I loved last season’s Top Chef… With this one, the chefs seemed… meh. They need more diversity in casting. I want to cheer for chefs with unique/creative perspectives on cuisine, not various shades of meaness.

Also Dale, though he can cook is not a team player at all….the tantrums he threw when they lost the challenge was weird. He acted like a three year old who’s mother refused to give him candy…

I totally agree; I was hoping Lisa was going home last show. Dale is annoying, but thank god Andrew went home, he was worse. They’re all annoying in their own ways except for the other woman (or are there two?).

I have to agree (unfortunately) that the contestants this year are not as cool as the ones from previous seasons. I was really hoping to get more whacky challenges like the vending machine one, or make something yummy from items you get at the gas station. Oh well, we’ll just have to see what else is in store for us!

I think last season was my favorite of all the challenges too! This year, they had way too many professionals without varying challenges to really see what this top chefs can do! Hopefully the next few challenges will be better to watch. AND I hope that Lisa leaves very soon!

I think I’ve disliked Lisa since the elements challenge where she and Dale butted heads around how to cook “Fire”. She complained all day long about it and then won by making fancy bacon. She’s a rat and deserves to go home.
Poor Dale had a lot to offer but his personality just didn’t cut it this time

I agree that Lisa should have went home. If the other team can pick Stephanie as the winner when she wasnt’ Exec Chef, the judges could have definitely sent a person from the losing team who was Exec Chef.
Lisa botched two dishes that she claimed she could make well. Although Dale would have probably left eventually, Lisa made too many mistakes over the course of the last 5 weeks. She doesn’t deserve to be in the final four for sure. And if she makes it, I might have to boycott the rest of the season - LOL!

Hey, don’t insult Sam the Eagle. I can’t believe that they kept Lisa again - how many times can you be in the bottom two and keep surviving. I’m not impressed with her at all. Quite a few better chef types have gone. She must have something on one of the producers.
