My New Travel Buddy: Urban Decay Ammo Eye Palette
A few weeks ago I was gifted this Urban Decay eye shadow palette. It sat on my desk at work for weeks and weeks until I finally took it home last week. I haven’t put it down since.
The Urban Ammo Eye Palette ($34 US) comes with 8 colors for your mixing and matching pleasure - from neutral every day looks to brighter colors that match your violet blouse, this little palette can create it all. What I love about these Urban Decay shadows is that they are well-pigmented with an awesome color payoff and blend really well.
But, you wanna know what my real favorite reason for adoring this palette is? It’s the fact that just this one little palette is all I need to pack in my makeup bag when I travel. I could go on a trip for days and still be able to come up with a different combo everyday.
Here are a couple FOTDs I did this week with my Urban Ammo palette -
For the first look, I was going for something a little more colorful and playful. You know, feelin’ a little sassy with the weather warming up. I used Maui Wowie as a brow highlight, swept Grifter above the crease, and Mildew on the lids and lower lash line. I completed this look with a couple of swipes of my Pixel Pink lipstick from Lancome.
I did a little plum and brown for my second look. It’s a little more subtle and definitely office appropriate using Sin as a highlight, Smog in the crease, and Last Call on the lids. Finish the look with Prescriptives lip gloss in Solstice.

I’ll be bringing a couple of palettes to LA — Fresh’s new summer palette and the new Stila Kitten palette. I actually wrote down a list of what make-up I would bring before I even started thinking about what to wear!

I definitely think that matte shades would make this an even better palette. I was just at Ulta today and saw a couple other palettes from UD but didn’t take a close look. I gotta try that primer one of these days - every one raves about it!

I just finished packing my makeup bag - just the “necessities” since it’s going to be so hot! Gotta keep the makeup light so that it doesn’t melt off, LOL!
