Tuesday’s Game of Tag!
I’m a little behind in my regular postings but Toya from The Life of a Ladybug saved me from a postless day by tagging me, phew!
Here goes -
1. Where was I 10 years ago? Back in 1998, I was just finishing up my Freshman year at Cal State Long Beach and realizing that Graphic Design wasn’t my calling. I don’t really remember where I was working, although I’m pretty sure it was at Macy’s in South Coast Plaza.
2. What are five things on my To Do list today? I really need to finish up an assignment I’m working on for an extracurricular class I’m taking, try out the new Spinlash mascara I received last week, and that’s about it! My To Do lists are much longer on the weekends – laundry and grocery shopping are among things I need to get done on Sunday.
3. What are some snacks I enjoy? I’m not a huge snacker, but when I do, I like more savory snacks – rice cakes, Corn Nuts (Ranch, baby!), and Rice Krispy treats on occasion when I crave something sweet.
4. Places I’ve Lived: Garden Grove, CA; San Francisco, CA; and Joliet, IL
5. Things I’d Do If I Were a Billionaire: Take care of my family and close friends, buy a home and vacation spot for us to enjoy. I’d become more involved in charities that benefit less fortunate folks in Vietnam and other southeast Asian countries. Lastly, I’d try to create some sort of business and turn it into my family’s legacy so that my kids and their kids will always be taken care of even after I’m gone. I’d also probably go on a few vacations, shop a bit, invest wisely and then just relax!
6. People I’d Want To Know More About: This one’s a tough one! I think I’d love to really just get to cool people like you!
What are some of your answers to this game of tag? I’d love to hear in Comments
Hope you’re all having a great Tuesday! My afternoon’s kinda off today and I’m feelin’ a little funky, but hopefully I’ll be back to normal by dinner time.

Where was I 10 years ago? Let’s see…I was about to be married to my wonderful husband! We were married on 8-8-98. I was teaching high school on the Main Line of Philadelphia
2. What are five things on my To Do list today? Celebrate being done with grading 7th grade final papers. Start reading their vignette collections. Laundry. Make dinner. Put kids to bed and then have a glass of wine.
3. What are some snacks I enjoy? Doritos Salsa verde, animal crackers, lots of bad stuff.
4. Places I’ve Lived: Pittsburgh, PA, Hanover, NH, Philadelphia, PA, New Haven, CT, El Cerrito, CA
5. Things I’d Do If I Were a Billionaire: Sell my house and buy a really nice one in the Berkeley Hills. Save it for my kids’ school and college tuition. Buy a boat and learn to sail. Give some away, too.
6. People I’d Want To Know More About: You, Lilan! And my neighbors.

Hi Elizabeth,
Wow, congrats on your upcoming 10 year anniversary! Do you and your hubby have anything special planned? Let us know if you need a sitter!
Ah I love Doritos Salsa Verde too! I’m so bad when it comes to snacks sometimes and am trying to fool myself with “healthy” versions of chips like those Flat Earth chips. They’re pretty tasty but nothing compares to a good ol’ Doritos chip or Flamin’ Hot Cheetos!
Oh, and I want to put buy a boat on my list too! Although it’s too cold to sail most days in Bay, right??
Hope those vignette collections are a good read for you tonight – chat soon!

Lilan, I actually had a sitter for the first time since I hadmy 13 month old…she had to be asleep first, though. We need a nice sushi dinner all by ourselves really soon. I imagine we’ll have a nice dinner on our anniversary, but nothing much…
I went to a wedding in September ’06 on a boat in the bay and it was FREEZING. Maybe in 85-plus degree weather it would be okay??

I love sushi too! Do you have a favorite spot you both like to go to?
A wedding on a boat sounds lovely and romantic.. too bad was cold! I would have thought that September would have been a safe bet – just shows how unpredictable the Bay is
Where did you and your husband get married? I hope to do a destination wedding someday.

Hi Mandy!
Ya, I was only there for 6 months while my mom was considering moving out there. Lucky for me, she made a great decision to move me back to the OC baby!
