MAC Electro Flash “Odd Couple” FOTD
This morning I woke up feeling a little spunky and rejuvenated after a really (really) blah Monday and Tuesday so I decided to actually put some color on my face today.
I dug around my newly organized makeup stash (it probably won’t stay this way for long) to see if I could find something to spice up my life on this Hump Day! It didn’t take me long before I gravitated towards that purple pot of eyeshadow - it drew me in immediately.
MAC’s new collection, Electro Flash, gives us mineralized eye shadow duos that definitely helped to pick up my mood when I spied Odd Couple, a pot containing a bold purple half paired with a side of light bronze with purple veining. They say the shadows are extremely pigmented but I thought they had just the right amount of color.
The purple side is extremely buildable and wearable and the gold side complements it nicely. Although I did have kind of a issue with the size of the shimmer particles that fell on my face. It gave it a more textured look but I definitely would have preferred if the gold shadow were finer.
Overall, I think Odd Couple is a great combo that’s not so odd at all! I finished off this FOTD with whatever blush was still in my brush and Supreme lipglass from the Neo Sci-Fi collection.
In other news, I stepped on the scale this morning for my usual Wednesday morning weigh-in and just as I suspected, I gained. At least I’m not at 132.2 which is less than where I originally started but dang, I really gotta practice some discipline as to what I put in my mouth!

I tried this yesterday and made a hot mess out of - you did a much better job. I agree, the glitter on the bronze side is too chunky and the fallout is immense. This was the least fave of the 3 duos I bought, I may return it … but you rock it well!

I really like that combo on you. I used the golden color on my lid and the purple on the crease. I sprayed my brush with Fix+ to intensify the golden color.

The chunkiness of the gold side is rather bothersome but I think there’s definitely a time and a place for it because it’s super sassy!!
What other colors of the mineralized duos did you get?

I have a pretty light hand when it comes to my makeup, but the other thing you should probably know is that I don’t know how to take photos of my FOTDs!! Sometimes I feel like they are so much more vibrant than they turn out but you guys never know b/c the pictures I take are kinda blah
