MAC Electro Flash & Sonic Chic: Swatches!!

electro-flash-lip-swatches.jpg

Today I rushed after work to go take a peak at the new MAC collections on counter as not to miss any of the must-haves - and swatch the heck out of everything for you.

But, to my dismay, there was a new counter manager there (or someone new, anyway) and she was freaking out that I was swatching and taking pictures. So much so, that she wouldn’t let me take them right there at the counter and therefore turned me way off to hauling anything from Electro Flash - even though the shadow duos looked to die for. I swatched Odd Couple and Sea & Sky on a free spot on my hand and the textures are definitely super pigmented and very rich.

With that said, I was finally able to swatch the Sonic Chic mineralized blushes and the Electro Flash lippies. Let’s start with the lippies, shall we? As with every collection, I alway gravitate towards the lip products, especially when I feel like splurging!

Lipglass ($14 US)
Cultureclash - a sweet, bubblegum pink with girly shimmer
Li’ Hot Pepper - an orange, red that’s a rich fall color; reminds me of changing leaves
Major Minor - a neutral beige/pink; totally up my alley and I’m going to have to refrain from buying it as I’m sure I have tons just like it
Sonic Vibe - a fun pink lippie that would go well with tons of color combos (I’m envisioning them already!)

Lipstick ($14 US)
Fast Thrill - shimmery pale pink with blue undertones
Mellow Mood - sheer dirty pink that would work well with me as a swipe ‘n go
Dangerously Hot - browner in person than here in the photo. It’s rich and probably a color that most will reach for come fall when the darker lip colors will start popping up
Vanity’s Child - super sheer, almost opaque beige color. This to me would feel more like a balm without SPF because there’s virtually no color.

This bunch of lip colors didn’t really move me for the most part - it seems like a lot of the colors are similar shades I already have in my stash already. I can never really resist - so we’ll just see! ;)

Bottom L-R: Love Thing, Merrily, Nuance, Pleasantry, Warm Soul

Next up, Sonic Chic mineralized blushes. In the pan, they are all gorgeous! They have a good amount of pigment and are baked with tiny flecks of shimmer, I feel like I can fall in love with any of these. But my personal favorites are Dainty, a faint pink with gold tones in it, and Nuance, a pretty peach with more gold!!

Have you checked out these mineralized goodies yet?  What’s captured your eye so far?  For me, I need to get my arse off the computer because America’s Best Dance Crew is on and I ALWAYS have to watch it live (well, sort of live).  Who’s gonna go home???  Don’t tell!  ;)
