Oh Coco, What Would I Do Without You, Mademoiselle?

I’ve always had a thing for classic trends, never falling trap to what’s “in”. I’d say that I’m pretty thankful for this – I can wear outfits that have been sitting in my closet for the last 5 years and rediscover them again while not looking dated. The same definitely goes for makeup and perfumes.
While I was working at the beauty counters at Macy’s oh-so-long ago, I had the opportunity to sniff every fragrance bottle that came my way. Some I hated, some surprised me, and some I absolutely loved.
And as a girl who loves Chanel, it’s no wonder that the one bottle I came back to sniff over and over again was Coco Mademoiselle. You might be wondering why a 22-year-old would be into such a lady-like (but not old-lady or stuffy) scent. The answer to that is easy – the wonderful floral combined with fresh citrus notes makes it perfect for the classic woman, no matter what her age is. I loved it as a young 20-something and I still love it is a near 30-something (yikes!)
To this day, I still don’t have a bottle of Coco Mademoiselle to call my very own, but that might all change soon with their new Eau de Parfum Twist & Spray. It’s uber chic while travel-friendly – I can pull it out of my bag, give me wrists a little spritz and be on my way. I can’t wait until this appears on counters next month!
Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum Twist & Spray includes a while pearlized spray bottle along with 2 refills for $85 US. Stop by your nearest Chanel fragrance counter in September to pick one up for yourself. I know I’ll be putting this on my wish list from The Boyfriend

You know I have never smelled this scent. I strongly dislike Chanel No. 5. Does it smell anything like it?

I love their twist & spray’s. I have the eau de toilette one ^^
Mademoiselle is this timeless but still young fragrance. I got it for the first time when I was 18 so, for this scent, age ain’t nothing but a number ^^

Hey Marisol,
I know that Chanel No. 5 is a classic but I honestly can’t remember what it smells like! I really like Coco Mademoiselle since it’s super pretty and girly without being too old lady-ish. You should take a whiff the next time you’re at the counters – let me know what you think!
Hope you’re having a great Thursday – any fun plans for the weekend?

Hi Karen B,
I’m so glad you’re into Coco too! What’s your favorite summertime fragrance right now? I usually wear the same ones all year ’round – Bond No 9 Saks Fifth Ave for Women and Donna Karan Cashmere Mist!

I wear the same ones yearround too. For the past 6 months or so it’s been Chloé but I’m now going back to Mademoiselle and a tad of Very Irresistible by Givenchy (which really makes me think of summer, but as summer is like over here in Belgium – it’s like fill – I’m back to Madmoiselle ^^)

This is the best perfume I can’t live without! I love CoCo Madmoiselle and it has nothing to do with my age!
It smells nothing like Chanel #5!! Its like an airy gives you that I can take over the world kind of feel. Great confidence builder when a guy walks by and says “Wow you smell great, what is it?” Yes it happens often… why you think I keep wearing it?

Hi Karen B,
Ooo I really want to smell Very Irresistable! I’ve never really been able to find a summertime scent. But now that summer is almost over, maybe it will help to remind me of sunshine!
Hope you have a great weekend!!

Hi Kim,
I really need a scent that’ll make men stop in their tracks! I used to wear Angel by Thierry Mugler, a delicious rich scent that I got lots of compliments on. Hmm, maybe I need to start wearing that again!!

Oh this has been a favorite of mine for years too. But like you, I’ve never been able to own a bottle of my own. Every time I pass a Chanel counter, I’ve snuck a spritz on my wrist though.
Love it! Glad to hear it’s going to be available in a smaller travel size.

Hi Sara A.,
I’m with you! I like that it’s in a smaller size so that I can actually get through a bottle. Can you believe that I’ve never finished any fragrance bottle I’ve ever purchased??
Hope you’re having a great weekend so far!
