Sassy Saturday Night with MAC So Scarlet
If you’re looking to make an impression on date night then you’ve got to pick up So Scarlet when MAC’s new collection Cult of Cherry releases next week!
I currently don’t have any plans for this Saturday night, but hopefully as the Boyfriend is watching me write this entry in my hot, red lips, he’ll find a place to take us tonight ;) EDIT: It worked! We’re going out to meet some friends for drinks, woot!
So Scarlet is deep red with blue undertones and in some lighting appears just a touch purple. Although it’s not my holy grail red (uh, hello PS Kiss!), it’s a gorgeous red in MAC’s amplified formula that makes me feel va va vavoom as I’m wearing it around the house! Here’s a quick FOTD with a soft golden eye and a little bit of bronzer.
What are you plans for tonight? Will you be painting the town red? Or layin’ low at home watching the Olympics? I’m dying to watch the girls individual event finals tomorrow!! Can you believe how leggy and graceful Nastia Liukin looks on the uneven bars? She’s so amazing!

I was working last night until 10 and I was knackered. I planned to go out afterwards but that didn’t work out. One of the managers had messed with my hours so in the end I worked 9 hours! O_o
but so scarlet looks amazing on you. I just think that with my light colouring it’ll look tacky. I usually stay clear of red lippies.

I work in the video game industry, so I play my own games. I also adore the wii and love playing the games on there like tennis and bowling, but also the Zelda games and Mario games. I have an XBox 360 and I love playing Viva Pinata on it as well as Soul Calibur IV. I also love all of the Monster Rancher games. When I was still playing my Gamecube my favorite game for that was Eternal Darkness.
My favorite red MAC lippies are Embellish Glitz Gloss, Russian red lip glass, Boundless 30 Glass, Venetian Lustre Glass, Fanplastico Lip Lacquer, Urgent! slimshine, and probably Lasting Lust Pro-Longwear paired with Mirror.

I have pretty fair coloring as well but I love reds, you should definitely give them a try. Maybe a red lip stain??

My favorite types of games are definitely the Mario ones! I love all the characters, they’re so whimsical! When I had the gamecube, I played Zelda. I was so addicted to it but then when I messed up and couldn’t figure out how to advance after I was pretty deep into it, I just gave up and never attempted to start over and finish - they’re just too darn long and complicated!!
I haven’t tried any of the MAC lip colors you love, but now I have a fun list to start with!!

I really like So Scarlet - do you ever wear red lippies? Depending on your skin tone, this might be a bit dark, but the overall effect is so gorgeous!
