Anytime-You-Want Hair Removal with TRIA
For the past couple of months, you’ve followed along as I introduced you to the TRIA Personal Laser Hair Removal System, the first laser removal unit that’s been FDA-approved for use at-home.
We weighed the pros and cons and even demonstated how to use the TRIA on a test spot on my friend’s leg – my, how brave he was! And I’m happy to report back to you that.. it works! And it works like a dream!
After the initial session on my friend’s leg, we revisited the spot after 4 weeks (the recommended wait time between treatments) and it already appeared that the hair was not growing back. But to make sure, we treated the area again. Now, another 4 weeks later, check out the spot (please pardon the weird photo!) – no more hair after only two sessions!
Impressed with the results, I sucked up my anxiety and asked the Boyfriend to zap my underarms – this hand-held unit is fairly heavy and it would have been a little hard for me to do this area on my own. I gotta say, since the skin underneath my arms are thinner than what you’d find on your legs, the zapping sensation definitely stung on some areas. This won’t discourage me from continuing though – it’s been one week and I’m noticing a significant decrease in hair growth.
Well ladies and gents, now that you’ve seen the results with your very own eyes, are you going to bite the bullet and splurge on the TRIA hair removal system? I would definitely recommend it for those who are seriously considering those office visits. The privacy of my house and unlimited option to zap hairs endlessly are the deal breakers for me!
Get the TRIA for $995 online at TRIA Beauty or at select dermatology offices nationwide.

Like Elaine, I am too chicken to try this product.

Ooh, results!!
Unlike Marisol and Elaine, I would totally try this – if it wasn’t so expensive! $995?! My god!

Hey Elaine!
I was kinda freaked out to try it at first but now it’s a cinch – I just need to prepare myself for the at-times stinging sensation of the zaps. Totally depends where you’re zapping, LOL.

Marisol, don’t be afraid! LOL

Hi Rae,
Have you ever considered any kind of laser hair removal? Ever since I tried this, I feel like I’m noticing a lot more ads and posters for it. It makes me feel like I need to find time to zap my nearly hairless legs just to make it stop, LOL!

You are right. I am not afraid. I am skerred!

I will totally break down and get this. It’s not so much a matter of ‘if’; it’s a matter of ‘when’.

I have, Lilian – and the price tag on that also gives me a heart attack!
I guess I can justify it with the fact that you do it a handful of times and you’re hair-free for the rest of your life, but five $100-sessions for just underarms, or more for legs, sounds like way too much for me!! ^^
And I know exactly what you mean – there are a TON of ads for laser right now… most of them shifty

Get it, Mandy! If I had more hair on my arms, I’d zap those too. It’s kind of addicting!

i plan on getting this sometime in the near future. yes it’s a little expensive but i’ve been looking into office laser hair removal and this don’t even come close to the price it would cost me there.

Are you girls crazy? It would cost a FORTUNE to do all the parts of my body I want hair removed from if I went to a clinic. $995 is a STEAL if this thing really works.
This is a dream come true. I have never liked shaving, what is the point if the next day you feel like a freaking porcupine? And waxing has made me scream, bleed and ultimately left me with bumps.
I’m buying one next pay day. I wonder what city you all live in. $995 in my San Francisco ain’t much my dears.

Hi Lucy,
You’re right, at a cool grand, the TRIA is definitely worth it if you’re planning hair removal in multiple areas. Let us know if you get one and if you like it
Hope you’re having a good Saturday so far!

Hi there- Since tria just came out with their ‘updated’ model at a lower price tag, I think i’m gonna take the plunge and buy it. I was wondering about the progress on your underarms…how many sessions did you end up doing and has the hair grown back yet? Thanks!

Hi
There’s another product in the market that’s called Silk’n. I’ve checked a lot reviews, and no one has concluded anything.
Does anyone has any clue specially after the release of the new TRIA device in Feb?

Hi there, I bought one about 2 months ago and have used it 1 1/2 times. The hair was rejected in some of the spots I treated(breasts) . I treated my right arm, my belly, my breasts, my chin/neck, and my right leg. I only did my arms and leg for testing purposes. I wanted to see how the hair would grown back on the treated side as opposed to the side just being shaved. So far no difference. It has only been 3 weeks though. I could not wait the full 4 weeks for the second treatment and broke down and did several of the areas tongiht. KEEP IN MIND…The TRIA unit can only be charged 300 times or less then it does not work anymore. This device is made to be replaced with another one if you run out of charges. Meaning it will cost you 5 buck s of the 1000 you spent on it every time you use it.
