Football, a Giveaway, & Reads of the Week
{Image: NFL.com}
As much as I love blogging, from now until February, my Sundays are probably going to be dedicated to the greatness that is professional football. And while this may mean that I’m too preoccupied with screaming for touchdowns and watching grown men in tight pants tackle each other to blog, today I’m not too distracted to bring you a SURPRISE, random giveaway!
Today I’m sending one lucky newsletter subscriber an extra goody bag from my blog-iversary mani pedi party from a few weeks ago worth over $130! In it you’ll find: sold-out MAC lippies from the summer Neo Sci-Fi collection in Pink Grapefruit and Astral, the new Fall Dimensions Cheeks & Eyes Palette from Prescriptives’ new Daring collection, tarte’s best-selling cheek stain in Flush, and goodies from the ladies at China Glaze – polish in For Audrey, a foot & callus file, and Ardell lashes!
So if you haven’t already, check your email to see if you’re a winner. If you didn’t win this time, don’t forget that you can be eligible to win another random giveaway if you’re signed up for my monthly newsletter. And if you’re not signed up, don’t miss your chance to win my next random giveaway (you never know when it’ll happen!), just enter in your email address below.

Hi Nikki,
I’m glad to hear that your mom is doing well! How long does she have to be in physical therapy for?
I can definitely understand if some might not be into football; I actually didn’t watch it regularly until last season. What are some of the big sports in the Philippines?
Hope you’re having a good day – Monday’s are always hard for me

I too am a lover of football!! And being from the Burgh I’ve got to give it up to the Steelers! Although I hope that Ben doesn’t get sacked another 8 times this Monday against the Ravens…. I’m working for ESPN this Monday at the game – I’m hoping we represent on Prime Time!!
Anyway – I really love your blog. As a new blogger myself, you give me lot’s of inspiration!!
Thanks for the Sweet Sweet Daily Cookie!!

Hi Rachael,
Thanks so much for stopping by! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the site
That Steelers/Eagles game on Sunday was painful to watch. My boyfriend has Ben for his fantasy league and was so glad to have benched him this week! LOL
How cool is it that you work for ESPN – what do you do there?

So Sorry Lilian! Busy Weekend!!
I’m a freelance makeup artist for ESPN when they swing through Pittsburgh on Monday nights . It’s a fun gig! Usually the fans are surprised that their football heros wear makeup on set… there’s always a comment or two about it – hehee. The talent are pro’s in more ways than one.
So happy the Steelers pulled through – but it was a loooooooong game!
Take Care & Talk Soon!

Hi Rachael,
That’s so cool that you’re a makeup artist for ESPN! Do you only do the football players? Or other staff from ESPN as well?
Wait until I tell my boyfriend that football players wear makeup, he’ll die! The Monday night game certainly was an interesting one – long, but good!

LOL! Well, I don’t want to give your man a triple bi-pass – so to clarify…
I work on Hall of Famers like E. Smith, Young, Jaws… and other staff commentators for MNF.
When the actual players have joined us after the show, it is their call if they want a little blotting paper. Usually not; they come fresh from the locker rooms & most likely don’t need any. They sure don’t look like they just played 4 hours of ball! Crazy right?
Good times!
So good talking with you!
ps. I just linked ‘The Daily Cookie’ to my blog yesterday

Hey Rachel!
Oh thank goodness, I thought the boys were indulging in powder puffs during those games, LOL!
I’m so envious that you get to make small talk with the guys face to face – move over A-list celeb, I’ll chat it up with a football player any day!
Thanks for sharing that little tidbit with us!
