Thank you very much, Lilan, for your advice!!!!!

I've been using products by Avene for the past few years. It's really great for my dry skin. They were recommended by my dermatologist back when I was living in France. I think it's the #1 dermo-cosmetic brand there.
But then, I've recently developed a mixed complexion.
So, I'm really having problems and trying to find something that I could use for the more oily parts of my face.
So far, skin care products for mixed skin have had poor results, so I'm more leaning towards keeping the products I use now for my dry skin and finding another one for my T-zone (i.e. using two different products on my face).

I'll be checking those products out, at least at counters to see if they could work for me.
Again, thanks, Lilan!

Hi Nosh,

The bottle I'm using in the video is the 450 ML bottle which retails for $75 US. It's a great deal consider the smaller bottle (150 ML) retails for $35. You're getting 3x the product and I'm certain that it will last a really, really long time!

As I mentioned to Tiphaine, I might not recommend this for super oily skin. I have drier, more combination skin, so I really like their cleansing oils :)

Hi Tiphaine,

You're absolutely right - this Brightening Cleansing Oil is meant to help your skin look healthier and more radiant vs. whitening the skin. I'm pretty fair as well and have no desire to be whiter! LOL!

I would definitely recommend this product for drier complexions or for use in the winter when the skin needs more hydrating. For me, this is great to use in the non-summer months when skin is duller and is in need for moisture.

If you have oilier skin, I might not recommend this for daily use - maybe every other day to keep a balance. If you have super oily skin, I'd go to your Shu counter and ask for a sample to see how it works for you before buying a full bottle.

The texture before you emulsify it with water is definitely oily, since it technically is an oil. But the final result after I rinse is really nice - soft like a baby's bottom!

Other than this, you may have heard me rave about La Mer Foaming Cleanser which might be great for your skin type. It's nice for every skin type. This product comes with a pretty hefty price tag, but I've been able to stretch it out by using it every other day (alternating between my Shu cleansing oil).

If you're on a budget, try out iQ Derma Daily Renew Refreshing Cleanser. This is the other product that I use sometimes and it really works to get all the grime and makeup off.

I hope this has been helpful for you! Let me know if what you're using currently and maybe I can search for more products that might help :)

Hi Marisol,

Shu might be a little pricey but I've really liked everything that I've tried from them. I haven't used MAC's cleansing oil yet; I don't use much of their skin care items. One of these days I'll give it a whirl :)
