For the Holidays: Stila Shine On Gift of Glaze

My friend Jamie from The Beauty of Life loves Stila Lip Glazes.  Every time I stop in Sephora, I sometimes think of her and always hear her voice tempting me to pick up a couple of colors – although I can never decide on what to adopt home with me.

Now, I don’t need to decide.  Stila Cosmetics knows how to help a girl out by packaging some of their most popular colors in a cute little holiday set, Stila Shine On Gift of Glaze ($28 US).

This exclusive Stila collection for the holidays offers 6 mini lip glazes in a variety of colors that’s versatile enough for any look.  What’s more perfect about it is that they’re small and portable to fit into your jean pockets when you’re out on the town or in your designer clutch at your best friend’s holiday party.

From left to right: Grapefruit, Apricot, Gumdrop, Brown Sugar, Raisin, and Vanilla.  The formula is actually really luxe and thick but not sticky at all.  I like that when I talk or lick my lips (subconsciously, of course) that it doesn’t come off easily, making it a long-lasting formula that only needs to be re-applied a few times throughout the day.

Grapefruit is a frosty pink shade that applies on sheer with just a hint of sparkle.  It’s one of those colors that can be a quick fix when you’re looking to touch up quickly without thinking whether or not it matches the rest of your look.

Another easy, neutral color that can be kept close on hand whenever you need a quick fix is Apricot, a slightly shimmery nectarine shade.  I think this and Grapefruit can be kept in my car so that I can apply before meeting friends for drinks or the Boyfriend for dinner.

The only creme shade of the bunch without shimmer is Gumdrop.  It’s described on the Sephora website as a vibrant pink but there really isn’t anything vibrant about it.  Any ladies out there that like the more coral shades can appreciate this one as a pink with a hint of peachy tones.

Brown Sugar is probably one of my favorites of the bunch.  This one is a golden nude shade with flecks of shimmer that reflect light gorgeously!  It’s most definitely a great color for fall.

The other color I’m diggin’ for fall is Raisin, a plummy shade with more golden shimmer.  Anything with golds in them are hot for the cooler autumn season.

The last shade in the bunch is Vanilla.  This frosty pearl that would rock it when paired with a chocolaty smoky eye, day or night.  With all the sheers in this holiday collection, it’s the most opaque of the set as well.

If you’re looking for a bargain lip set, definitely give Stila Shine On Gift of Glaze a gander on your next trip to Sephora.  These glosses make a great treat for yourself and are fun stocking stuffers, too!
