Spotlight: Clinique Great Lips, Great Cause
Happy Friday, ladies (and gents)! EDIT: Just kidding! Happy Thursday! Being unemployed means I don’t know what day of the week it is!
I’m so excited about today’s Pink Spotlight – Clinique’s Great Lips, Great Cause Lip Set is my personal favorite pink product for Breast Cancer Awareness Month that I’ve come across so far this year.
It’s been quite a while since I’ve owned a lipstick that came in one of those lip cases – I find it pretty old-school and reminds me of my mom back in the day when she carried one in her purse every where she went.
With that said, I think Clinique did a phenomenal job of giving us an updated look for its BCA-inspired set. Great Lips, Great Cause Lip Set ($16.50 US) includes a chic, silvery lipstick case with a limited edition Colour Surge Butter Shine Lipstick in Ribbon Pink in a gorgeous metallic pink and bamboo-esque tube inside.
Ribbon Pink is a sassy blue-pink sheer lip color with glittery flecks that I find is awesome for summer or winter. Don’t forget that a little shimmer will go a long way when looking to complete your holiday look this year. This long-wearing lip sheer also offers a ton of moisture that I’m loving in Orange County’s dry heat right now.
Feel good about buying Clinique’s Great Lips, Great Cause Lip Set for yourself or someone you love during the month of October. It’s an affordable $16.50 US and Clinique will donate $10 from each sale of this set to The Breast Cancer Research Fund – how great is that?
And because I love this lippie and my mom so much, I gifted her this set when she came back from her three week vacation yesterday. A nice pick-me-up after a 15-hour flight never hurts when she’s the greatest mom ever

I like the blue pinkness too. Have you noticed that the blue rather than peachy pink helps your teeth appear whiter?
I like that Clinique enclosed the lipstick in it’s adorable tube and case, very innovative.

If you’re a lip gloss girl but are looking to make the transition back to lipstick, Clinique’s Butter Surge is a great one — really sheer but color-full. At least the ones I’ve tried — I haven’t tried this one yet, but thanks for the post! And ps– the case is totally cute and lady-like

Hi Elaine,
I actually have noticed that teeth looks whiter when wearing shades with blue undertones
Hmm, maybe now I should have kept the lippie for myself instead of giving it to my mom, lol

Hi Marisol,
Pretty, indeed! Have you used Clinique’s lip glosses and lipsticks before? This is the third one I’ve tried from them this year and I’ve been impressed each time. I think it’s time for me to give Clinique a real shot while adding to my ginormous lip collection

Hi Sharp Lily,
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a note!!
I really like the sheerness of this lipstick too! Do you know if they all have sparkles in them or was it just this one. It makes the shade so sassy, I love it
Hope you’re having a great Friday!
