Get It: Shu Uemura Friends & Family Event
The holidays are a curse and a blessing in one for me. On the one hand, it’s the time of year where I spend so much money without even realizing it. But on the other hand, I can find a ton of savings on everything I buy – including beauty products!
And as an optimist, how can I be upset if I can buy shu uemura for 20% off during their Friends & Family Event?

Mika Holiday Collection Eye Color Palette ($65 US): I fell in love with my Fleur de Rose palette from shu’s 25th Anniversary collection and have kept it as a staple in my makeup bag ever since. It’s time to add a new favorite to my arsenal with Midnight Winter Sakura, one of three palettes released for holiday this year. Also available: Adorned Marguerite and Secret Luscious Rose.

I got the Midnight Winter Sakura palette and I really like it.
The colors are out of my norm since I stick to neutrals and purples, but I find the entire palette wearable.
I got mine at the boutique store and had my makeup done with it.
He used the green on the lid, and gold in the crease, and a beautiful brown in the outer v. I can’t remember which brown it was he used. He also used an eyeliner that was very creamy.
Colors can be applied lightly or layered for a darker look.
If you get the palette, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

The color combo you describe sounds so pretty! Did he use one of the colors as your liner? Or a separate shu liner?

He used a separate eye liner pencil on me.
But I do like the cream liner it comes with.
The cream liner appears black but has flecks of purple in it.
The flecks aren’t noticeable once the cream liner is applied though.
If you can, you should try to see the palette in person.
I got a palette from the Nars website that I’m not totally in love with, and sadly the website doesn’t accept returns.
I don’t hate the palette, but it’s also not my favorite.
