Manic Monday: I Need to Organize
I’ve been under the weather for just about two weeks now. It’s so bad that I haven’t even fully unpacked from my Vegas trip yet. Some days I feel like laying in bed all day (like yesterday watching football) and others, I manage to get out for a couple of hours to do errands (read: window shop).
But today marks a new week and I think I’m finally ready to get out of my lazy slump. That, and the sight of too many beauty products in my living room is making me want to explore my options for organization.
Here are some that I’m diggin’ – can you help me with any other ideas?
MAC Carry All Case ($225 US): Let’s start with the lust product that I could never splurge for.. but that I will put on my Wishlist
I’ve seen these at the malls when the MAC artists come to do events at the counters. They’re big enough to hold my large lip gloss collection, I’m sure! Best of all, I love that it has pull out compartments for easier organizing (and finding stuff).
Sephora Metro Train Case – Gun Metal ($98 US): It’s not quite like the MAC Carry All, but it’s about the same total size at less than half the price tag. My friend got a similar one for Christmas last year and I still think about it now again. Maybe she’ll remember how much I drooled over hers and will get me one too, LOL
Stackable Storage Bins ($6.99 each US): A couple of months ago, the last time I really took a serious stab at organizing my beauty products, I went down to The Container Store and picked up a few of theses stackable bins. They’re cost-efficient and have definitely come in handy when it comes to storing my polishes and shorter products like scrubs and creams. The stackable feature makes it a great space saver, too. Now I just need to find a solution for those taller bottles and sprays…
I think I’ll take another trip down to The Container Store very soon to see what else I can find to help me organize all my goodies into just one corner. It’s seriously taking over and I hope to get it under control so that I can concentrate on the chaos of the holidays instead

I keep the bulk of my make up in two Sephora midnight train cases. At first, I didnt want to spend the money but these suckers are sturdy and fit a bunch of make up. It was worth the $$ for me.

Hi Nikki,
Oh those MAC cases are to DIE for! I always eye them when I’m at the mall but I could never shell out $225 for one.
What do you use to store your growing collection?

I’m totally with you vampyvarnish!
What’s the most expensive beauty item you’ve ever splurged on?
