Parlez Vous OPI? Qui, Madame!
Last night while I was hacking up a lung (still), I decided to paint my nails while sitting in front of the TV watching The Boyfriend’s brother play Call of Duty on our new PS3.
I wasn’t sure what color I wanted to do so I let the boys pick my shade from OPI’s fall collection, France. Much to my surprise, the Boy steered away from my usual vampy shades and picked out Parlez Vous OPI, a smoky grayish purple creme, for my tips.
I didn’t know how I felt about it at first but after a few minutes I really started to fall in love with it’s unique color and how it made me feel like a fashionista – do you think Gossip Girl will call me to guest in an episode? LOL

OPI’s France Collection is an interesting one full of some colors that are unexpected and other shades that we’ve seen before. But what I love the most about OPI are it’s fun names. I think tomorrow I’ll paint my nails again in another color to see what else I can pull off

Great color but looks like your cuticles may need a little help!! Try CND Cuticle Eraser. It is the best!! I use 3-4 times daily (a bit obsessively) but I have not had to use a cuticle nipper since I started using it.

oh la la! I am not a fan of the color but can I just tell you that I have nail bed envy? So jealous of them.

even myself, If this color will be first applied to me, I wouldn’t like it..but yeah..as you look at it longer, it gets really extraordinary!

It looks great
I love OPI’s fun names as well but still haven’t found a store here in Belgium that carries the brand.

Hi katee,
Gah, I’m so bad when it comes to my cuticles! I do have Dashing Diva cuticle oil but haven’t been able to successfully incorporate that step into my beauty regimen
Is the CND one easy to carry in my bag? That might help me out if it is!

Hi Marisol,
My nail beds? Everyone has always told me that I have hands like a 6 year old because my nails and fingers are so small, LOL

Hey Nikki,
I know you can definitely pull off different colors well. PS – I love your latest pink nail tutorial!

Hi Karen B,
Aw bummer that OPI hasn’t made its way to Belgium yet. What are your favorite brands carried there?

Yep that one rocks! It’s my fav of that collection and I have even managed to wear it 2 or 3 times, which is RARE for me!

I’m not a fan of cremes but I think this is a pretty color on you

Well, I rarely wear nailpolish as I have to keep my nails very very very short for violin and piano playing. I do like a plum polish from L’Oréal I got a year ago or so.

Hi Decorative Diva,
I hardly wear cremes too but this shade is making me give them serious consideration!
Nothing has inspired me as much as your mani has – I’m going to paint my nails today. Maybe a gold or bronze for the color of leaves!

Absolutely love that color on you. I never would have tried it just looking at it in the bottle, but now that I’ve seen it on you, I’m ready!
On November 23rd, 2008 Decorative Diva said:
Definitely try it
Have you tried Nubar, btw?
I just placed an order for a few of their polishes. (Gold Leaf, Copper to Flamingo Pink and Blue Violet to Sky Blue).
They have this color called Gold Leaf, which looked amazing so I wanted to try it.
It might be a color you like
I’m glad my nails inspired you!

Hi Elaine,
I don’t think I would have thought to try this color among my top picks, but I was curious about it in the bottle. Super glad that the boy chose this shade – I didn’t think he would dig it, LOL
Hope you had a great weekend! Any fun plans for Turkey Day?

Hi Decorative Diva,
I haven’t tried Nubar – do you like their formulas? I think OPI is definitely one of my favorites, maybe by default because tons of salons carry them? LOL
Thanks for your nail inspiration but I still couldn’t decide today so I’m saving my new mani for another day

I’ll let you know as soon as I receive my Nubar order. You can only order their products on their website, and their shipping is high compared to a lot of other sites.
I like Opi and Orly, but I LOVE China Glaze and Finger Paints
Aww, I wanna see what you end up choosing when you do paint again.

CND Cuticle Eraser comes in a small tube so it’s perfect for your purse, etc. I use a tiny amount 2 -3 times daily just out of habit but eve once a day will help!
