Rockin’ the Vote with Stila!
Today is the day. Voting day.
I’m going to cast my vote this morning but I won’t declare who my vote is for or how I’ll vote in California propositions. It’s definitely not my place to say, BUT I hope I’m doing my civic duty in urging anyone who can vote to definitely vote in this election. We’re making our mark in history and no matter which way it goes, I will be proud to take part in this historical election.
Now, for the fun part – what am I wearing today?! A couple of months ago, I told you about Stila’s Rock the Vote Red ($17 US), a limited edition red-hot lip color they released in an effort to create awareness to get us all out to exercise our right to vote.
Stila Rock the Vote Red, you are what I’m going to wear to the polls this morning. Since today is going to mark a special day in history, you are going to be a lip color that I will keep as long as I can and I will wear you to every single election in years to come. Just call me sentimental
What will you be wearing to the polls? It might be too late to get your tube of Rock the Vote Red to wear today but hopefully you’ll pick up one anyway, a portion of the sales from this shade will also go to Rote the Vote.

Hi Karen B,
I like this shade a lot too. It’s got a little bit of orange in it which I didn’t think that I could pull off but I’m happy to say that I don’t feel like a tomato when I wear this, LOL
How is your week coming along? Is the news of the new president taking over your airwaves like it is here? I just can’t believe what a historic time this is!

If they weren’t so gosh darn high maintenance I might wear it more often, lol
How are you spending this morning? I’m watching the Today Show and am still amazed at what our country did last night!!!

These are my favorite reds.
MAC Slimshine in Urgent
MAC Cult of Cherry Lipglass
MAC 3D glass in Boundless
MAC Glitz Gloss in Embellish
Aromaleigh Lollypop
I like to wear them alone or in some combination.
Cult of Cherry still just wows me.

Hi Decorative Diva,
I didn’t get to try CoC lipglass. Is it really pigmented? Also, I’ve never heard of Aromaleigh. Are they only online or can I find it in-stores? Sounds very interesting!

Cult of Cherry lipglass is probably my favorite of all I listed. It’s a gorgeous multidimensional gloss to me. I think it’s nicely pigmented.
Aromaleigh – http://www.aromaleigh.com
They’re an indy mineral makeup company, one of my two favorites.
The other is Meow – http://www.meowcosmetics.com

well yesterday morning (even in washington) the tv was buzzing more than the streets =( as i walked my little walk to work, i was waiting for a pig to fly over my head or there to be shuttle to mars… it’s sooo SURREAL. i mean i knew he/we could do it, but would America let it happen? no voting glitches, no recounts, it actually happened!

Hi Marisol,
How could I not vote?! I’m only sad that Prop 8 passed and that more ppl didn’t vote or weren’t educate to vote how they really felt if they knew what passing it would mean.
If history continues it’s course in evolution, maybe someday we’ll have a gay president??
