Vera Wang Look: So Fresh and So Clean

vera-wang-look.jpg

I’ve really started to get into fragrances this year and am even going out of my norm to smell scents that are beyond what I normally love.

I recently had an opportunity to sample Vera Wang’s new perfume, Look.  And I must tell you, it wasn’t what I expected but I enjoy it a little more each time I wear it out.

Last year, I fell in love with Vera Wang Parfum because it was a classic (as my friends would say) “Lilan” scent – full of soft, romantic white florals.

Vera Wang Look, on the other hand, is a more subtle romantic.  At first glance, she’s no nonsense and is a strong, completely confident kind of woman.  For me, it’s great for everyday – wear it to the office or out and about all day with fresh top notes of mandarin, lychee, golden delicious apple and watery greens.

And when it’s time to unwind and let your hair down, Look is also there for me, mellowing out and bringing to the forefront notes of those florals I absolutely adore, like freesia, lily and jasmine.

If you didn’t get Look under your tree this year, I hope you have a gift card you can use to treat yourself to a complete set: Eau de Parfum ($70 – $90 US), Sheer Body Lotion ($50 US), and Velvet Body Creme ($85 US).

Lazy, lazy Post-Christmas

I hope you had a great Christmas season with your loved ones.  Mine was really fun – I always love spending time with family and friends.  I was totally able to unwind for the past couple of days (including getting ready for the last week of regular football today!), but now I have to get back in the mode and psych myself back up for what I hope to be a great and busy 2009.
