A Peachy Day with Smashbox Muse
After sporting Lancôme Piha Black for most of the weekend I definitely needed something light and bright to put a new pep in my step.
Today I played around with some new goodies from Smashbox’s Spring 2009 Muse Collection and fell in love wth Muse Blush Rush in Masterpiece ($24 US).
Brand new to the line up from Smashbox, Masterpiece is a warm, peachy coral blush that reminded me a lot of my old fave MAC Peachykeen but without the shimmer. I can definitely see myself wearing this often in the spring and summer, it just warms up my complexion.
Applied on the apple of my cheeks, it brought focus to my cheeks (chipmunk or not) and gave me a great flush without looking too overdone. Just one or two sweeps was just enough to pull the entire look together, don’t you think?
On my eyes are a muted plum and blue combination from my new Bobbi Brights Eye Palette and two coats of Smashbox’s Bionic Mascara in Black Violet (also included in the Muse Collection). For my lips, I finished my fresh spring look with an ultra-shiny coral gloss, Prescriptives Coloscope Lip Gloss in Gutsy.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Yes, this film got totally shut out at the Golden Globes Sunday night but the number of nominations don’t lie. I’m sure this is a great movie so the Boyfriend and I are going to try and watch this today. It’ll be our 3rd attempt – sold out on Christmas Day the first try and lured indoors by a Top Chef marathon on our second try. But third time is a charm, right?

I can’t wait to try my Muse Artist Palette, I predict that it will become my go-to palette. The Blush Rush looks great on you! I got that too, as well as the Black Violet mascara (still haven’t tried either yet).
I hesitated on the Muse lip glosses though; they certainly look nice (from what I can tell online), but I don’t know if they’re must-haves. Have you tried them?

I have Black Violet mascara – it wasn’t my fave unfortunately. I haven’t tried the glosses but.. I haven’t met a gloss I didn’t like, LOL
