Recessionistas Rule! Get a Salon Blowout at Home
Fashionistas would say, great hair can make you look like a million bucks. But Recessionistas would agree, great hair doesn’t need to cost an arm and a leg.
Personally, I never really paid much attention to my hair (for shame! I know). But lately, since I haven’t been able to get regular hair cuts due to lots of travel and the holidays, I’ve learned that a little maintenance goes a long way.
Every time I blow out my hair using this technique, folks who see me everyday always ask if I’d just gotten my hair cut – and that makes me feel like a million bucks (without having to spend it).
PS – Turn the volume up when watching!
So for all you recessionistas out there, don’t fret if you can’t splurge on that weekly blowout because now you can do it for less in just minutes!

Hi Lilan! Thanks for the tips!
What is your barrel brush made out of? I have one, but I can’t get it really straighten my hair too well while blow drying. I’m curious to know what materials yours is made of.
Thanks!

Lilan, that was informativ, thank you. Now that I think of it, I recall my hairdresser using the paddle brush first, and then onto the barrel brush.

Lilan, that was so cute!
You looked great in the vid.
I always do the round brush at the roots when I blow dry
It’s great for volume.

Hi Shefali,
I looked all around online to see if I could find a comparable brush for you to reference. This one is similar but mine is larger in width:

I believe the material might be nylon; I don’t like to use the ones that have “porcupine” bristles as that usually tangles my hair.
Hope this helps!

Hi Elaine,
I’m glad you found the tips useful!
How is your week going so far? Getting back into the groove now that we’re past the holidays?

Hi Decorative Diva,
Thanks lady! I have to admit that I wasn’t using the round brush as often as I am now. What was I thinking before? LOL

Hi Miss Nikki!
I can’t decide if I want to cut my hair short again or grow it out. This helps manage it while I think, hee hee
How have you been lately, good I hope!

I did the brazilian blowout at my salon and it worked fabulously!!! I then purchased the Shielo Hydrate shampoo and conditioner with the Shielo Bounce Style Creme.
Well let me tell you – it has prolonged the effects of the blowout from the salon!! Even if you don’t do the salon treatment the shampoo and conditioner are great for your hair!! My hair is not frizzy! It is silky soft and manageable!!!
