Feed Your Face: Estee Lauder Nutritious
Mineral makeup has always been a bit daunting to me – the thought of applying makeup from a loose powder form scares me since I’m such a clutz.
Thankfully brands are starting to make things a little easier on folks like me and putting their mineral foundation formulas into liquid form.
New from Estee Lauder is their Nutritious Vita-Mineral Makeup with SPF 10 ($33.50 US) in both liquid and loose powder. Of course I’m keen on the liquid formula and have been wearing this new foundation for about a week now.
Compared to my current foundation fave, Elizabeth Arden Intervene ($36 US), the price point and consistencies are similar; it’s affordable and applies on smooth with medium coverage.
The packaging on my EA is definitely nicer in the gloss bottle than the plastic, but I appreciate the ease of use with Estee Lauder’s squeeze bottle. Plus, I have no fear when packing this into my makeup or travel bag because it’ll never break on me.
Using Nutritious makes me feel like I’m treating my skin right as it’s packed with minerals, vitamins, and good-for-you antioxidant ingredients like pomegranate.
Here’s my FOTD from yesterday wearing Vita-Mineral Makeup. However, with only 6 shades (in either liquid or powder), Intensity 2.0 worked best, although it wasn’t a perfect match for my skin tone. It’s a little on the light side but in a pinch, no one would ever notice.
Have you tried Estee Lauder’s new Vita-Mineral Makeup? What are your thoughts?
Tomorrow I’m flying to Orange County bright and early to visit with my family and spend time with my grandfather. He’s in the hospital right now and I’m hoping he gets better very soon. But until then, hanging out with him will definitely brighten both of our moods heading into the weekend.

Hi miz riz,
My skin is on the drier side of combination so I didn’t experience any oiliness with this formula at all. What foundation are you using currently?

I’m so sorry to hear about your Grandfather. Here’s hoping for a swift recovery.
Hmm… I’m fairly loyal to my Sally Hansen Natural Beauty foundation, but I’ll definitely have to check this one out.
