Warm Up for Summer with Coral Blushes
Around this time last year, I didn’t think of myself as a coral blush-wearin’ kinda gal. I owned a lot of pink shades and was perfectly content with my collection.
But something happened this spring, my favorite beauty brands turned out a ton of pretty coral blushes and I couldn’t help but have a change of heart. Here are a few of my personal picks from recent collections that will transition you from spring to summer flawlessly.
From left to right, Smashbox Blush Rush in Masterpiece; Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Blush in Cherub; CHANEL Powder Blush in In Love; and Benefit Cosmetics’ CORALista.
Smashbox’s Masterpiece ($24 US) is a muted peach with subtle pearl in the formula. As I’ve mentioned before, it reminds me of MAC Peachykeen without the shimmer.
Sally Hansen Cherub ($10.99 US) is an orangey-pink shade that’s the boldest of the bunch. However, the amount of color you apply can be controlled if you layer lightly.
CHANEL In Love ($42 US) is from CHANEL’s latest Côte d’Azur Summer collection. In comparison, In Love is the most coral in color while the other three have varying ranges of pink in them. I love this shade because it has tiny flecks of gold shimmer that gives your complexion a pretty glow outdoors.
Benefit’s CORALista ($28 US) is a product I use when I want that luminous, barely there makeup look. It’s a pretty pearlized formula that makes my skin glow because it reflects light everywhere I go.
Which one of these is your favorite coral blush? Let me know what you think and you never know, I just might be giving one of these favorites away to one lucky reader very soon!
If you have a coral that you love, I’d love to hear about it! I’m definitely more open-minded about them since I’ve fallen in love with these

They all look great on you but I really like the Benefit one. I am getting my brows done next week so I will be purchasing that blush. They used it on my the last time I was there and I really liked it.

Hi Karen B,
Thanks so much chica! Is it starting to warm up in Europe yet? We had a major heat wave in San Francisco last week but it should get back to normal now

Hi Marisol,
Which Brow Bar do you go to and what method do they use, waxing? I’ve never been before and I’m kinda dying to go, especially since you go regularly, it must be worth a try.
PS – You never know if I might be giving away a CORALista on the site very soon!

Thanks for the heads ups!
I go to the one in Mill Valley or Berkeley. I just have had really good experiences there. The do waxings and brow tinting sometimes. I have pretty dark hair so the tinting doesn’t do much to them. i think i am the only one that notices that they are darker.

I do have one that might count as coral.. It’s the blush in the Lorac Croc Pallet. I’m not sure whether or not it counts as coral, but it’s a great neutral blush! I’ve been trying to save money this spring by not buying too much, but the Coralistia is hard to resist!

Hi Marisol,
Have you gone to the downtown SF locations? What’s your experience been like there? Mill Valley and Berkeley are too far for me to venture out for my eyebrows
I think I’d like to try brow tinting because mine are kinda non-existent without my brow powders, LOL

Hi Danielle,
I haven’t seen that Lorac shade yet. My favorite blush from her is Plum, it’s a pinky purple shade and was one of my first blushes I ever owned. You should check it out if you like pinks!
