Aww Honey, Honey!
What is usually thought of as a delectable ingredient to sweeten up your morning tea, atop pieces of biscuits with butter, and drizzled on grilled summer peaches, honey is more than what’s yummy to your tummy, it’s good for you on the outside too!
It’s no secret that beauty products with honey in them are good for your skin. Honey contains ingredients that are natural antioxidants and have natural antiseptic, cleansing, and healing properties.
So in the spirit of celebrating honey and all its delicious and good-for-you glory, here are some of our favorite honey beauty products of the season. Trust us, it’ll be hard to remember not to eat it! 
I got a chance to preview MAC Naked Honey Body Wash ($19.50 US) before it hits counters on June 11th and this one is a real treat. Formulated from bio-converted honey along with lavender, jasmine flower, and blue agave extract, Naked Honey Body Wash smells delicious while giving you a soothing and calming shower experience. Ooh la la!
Slosh off dead skin cells and reveal gorgeous summer skin with C.O. Bigelow Honey Almond Scrub ($18 US). The rich and creamy scrub is made from honey and crushed almond grains. This is a super-emollient exfoliator, great for drier skin!
I love Burt’s Bees (and so does Julianne Moore) but I haven’t tried the brand’s much loved Naturally Nourishing Milk & Honey Body Lotion ($10 US) with natural humectant honey and moisturizing aloe and sunflower oil. The drugstore price tag makes it a must for Recessionistas everywhere!
Sweet and sassy is only one way to describe L’Occitane Honey & Lemon Shimmering Eau de Toilette ($46 US). Not only does this limited edition fragrance combine sweet honey with a fresh citrus scent, it also gives a you a glow from the subtle shimmer in the formula.
What are some of your favorite honey products? I don’t prefer to eat it (I’m a savory kinda gal) but I sure would love to wear it!
