Ladies, get ready to get your glow on this summer as Benefit Cosmetics prepares to launch its latest quick-fix goody, One Hot Minute, a sexy-in-seconds all-over face powder.

This morning Benefit hosted a breakfast event to unveil One Hot Minute to Bay Area bloggin’ beauty babes at their Chestnut Street boutique.  In attendance were Sonja from The Coveted, Karen over at Makeup and Beauty Blog, and Miss Christine from Temptalia, among a few others.

Boy was it fun to see how universal this luminous rose-champagne shaded shimmer enhanced all the gorgeous ladies’ complexions!

Benefit Beauty Artist Jared Bailey touched up our morning makeup with a few of the line’s goodies and finished with One Hot Minute ($30 US), providing easy tips on how to apply this loose powder to enhance any babe’s complexion and create a luminous sheen.

Jared recommends using Benefit’s Fantail Brush ($22 US) for application.  Because of the nature of the size and shape of the brush, it picks up a minimal amount of product to (a) minimize waste, and (b) to keep the application light and airy so you don’t overdo the shimmer.

One Hot Minute is neither a bronzer or a highlighting powder but you can definitely apply it onto your skin as you would a bronzer/highlight.

Jared used the brush that was included in the sassy copper tin (a similar shape to the Fantail for all you Recessionistas out there) to apply the all-over powder to the apples of my cheeks, down the sides of my face and across my jaw line.  He also swept a little bit down the bridge of my nose and across my forehead at the hairline.

Overall, One Hot Minute gave just enough sheen to light up my complexion without overdoing the sparkle factor at all.  I didn’t snap an after photo but check out Christine and Karen’s post-One Hot Minute.  You can definitely see that it works well for all skin tones.

PS – My friend Erin from Benefit shared with us that she uses One Hot Minute all over her body too, not just for her face.  At a wedding she recently attended, she created an additional glow on her arms and across her chest using a Kabuki like this Bronzing Brush ($22 US). The fuller brush allowed her to apply more product where she needed it for a more dramatic shimmer effect.

Benefit’s One Hot Minute ($30 US) will be available exclusively at Sephora boutiques and online beginning July 2009 and widely released on counters later this fall.

What do you think of this sexy-in-seconds shimmer powder from this whimsical beauty brand?  Love it?  Want it?  Let’s dish!
