Bridal Beauty: 3 Wedding Looks from MAC
It’s the last installment of our Bridal Beauty series and today we’re going to show you samples of the three classic wedding looks MAC Sr. Artist Keri Blair says are tried and true for the big day.
Look #1 – Wear a neutral eye with a neutral lip
Blair tipped us off on key products to use to create this look, starting with MAC Eyeshadow ($14.50 US) in Cork, a muted golden brown, applied on my eyelids blending up towards the crease. To create definition for the eyes and make them pop, I used MAC 219, a pencil brush, to apply Scene, a muted blue-gray, to my bottom lashline.
For my lips, I choose MAC Lipstick ($14 US) in Hot Gossip, a pinky plum shade in their popular Cremesheen finish.

Look #2 – Neutral eye with a bold lip
I kept my eye makeup the same and used one of Keri’s tip: I blotted some of my Hot Gossip lipstick off leaving a stain of color behind and applied MAC Tinted Lipglass ($14 US) in Pop Mode, a deep plum with bronze shimmer, over it to create a pop on my lips.
I personally really loved this result because I thought it translated into a prettier version of myself – and that’s ultimately the look most brides are going for right?

Look #3 – Wear a bold eye with a neutral lip
For this look, I used a small shader brush to pat MAC Eyeshadow ($14.50 US) in Shale, a mauve-plum with slight shimmer, all over my lids and up to just the crease.
I then used a tapered crease brush like MAC 224 ($28 US) to pick up a little bit of MAC Eyeshadow in Wedge, a matte muted taupe, and lightly applied it from the outer crease, sweeping in. With an angled shader brush like MAC 275 ($24.50 US), I blended out any harsh lines to melt the two shadow colors together.
On my lips, I swiped a good amount of MAC Lipstick ($14 US) in Way to Love, a creamy light yellow pink. This lustre shade is definitely more pink than Hot Gossip and much more muted against my skin tone.
Although I love the name (who wouldn’t want a Way to Love on their wedding day?), I prefer wearing a more vibrant shade on such a special day.
Which of these wedding looks would you likely wear on your big day? I love the subtle smokey eye from Look #3 and the pop of color on my lips from Look #2 – I wonder what it would look together!
