Clinique Summer 2009: Bamboo Pink
There are few people who have tried Clinique who haven’t tried Bamboo Pink, one of the brand’s top-selling lip colors.
It’s so popular, in fact, that this season Clinique has created an entire color collection based just on this sweet yet seductive pink hue.
The Bamboo Pink Collection gives us limited edition products in sexy, chic bamboo packaging (remember last year’s Ribbon Pink from Clinique’s Breast Cancer Awareness Collection?). Here are the summer collections must-haves:
- Limited Edition Colour Surge Eye Shadow Quad in Bamboo Pink ($25 US): Get four shades of velvety, shimmery colour to easily create natural to dramatic looks.
- Limited Edition Fresh Color Bloom Allover Color in Bamboo Pink ($29.50 US): Give yourself a sheer, subtle radiance and allover glow or sweep on cheekbones to highlight.
- Limited Edition Powder Brush ($30 US): Large, plush face brush dusts on loose or pressed powder for smooth, even application.
- Limited Edition Colour Surge Butter Shine Lipstick in Bamboo Pink ($14 US): It’s like butta baby! A creamy and rich lip colour in a moisturizing gel formula that delivers the shine of a gloss along with the comfort of a lipstick.
This collection is on counters now and I can’t wait to check out the colors in person to show you some of the looks! What’s on your summer must-have list from Clinique’s new Bamboo Pink collection?

The packaging is really cute!
How do you like the lippy?
How does it compare to MAC’s slimshines?

Hi Phyrra,
The packaging is really cute. I like the lippies more than I used to many years ago. They’re moisturizing like Slimshines are but this shade is definitely more subtle where as MAC’s colors are bolder.
Do you think you’ll give ‘em a go?
