Deliciously Decadent Delirium & Co. Candles
What do absinthe, black pepper and carnation have in common? They are all ingredients of Delirious & Co.’s luxurious home fragrances.
Hip Los Angeles candle boutique, Candle Delirium, launched its own line of sophisticated and fragrant candles. When burned, the scent fills the room and transports you to a fancy Parisian boutique on Rue de Bac selling lingerie so delicate you fear touching the merchandise.
Simply put, the Delirium & Co.’s candles are the polar opposite of those artificially-colored, synthetic-smelling bathroom candles of yesteryear.
Delirious & Co.’s candles are not cheap at $38 US for 7.9 ounces. However, for the size, style and quality of ingredients – they are definitely a steal. I’d consider Delirious & Co.’s candles to be in the same class as Diptyque or by Kilian candles.
Each of the ten candles from the collection is custom-blended with a masterful balance of subtle and striking notes. The fragrant soy wax concoctions are then encased in handmade translucent reflective glass. Each indulgent scented candle lasts over 55 hours and leaves an extremely long-lasting fragrance trail hours after it has stopped burning.

- China Tea– Sophisticated exotic fusion of bergamot, Ceylon tea, citrus accord, tea blossoms, raspberry and seaside moss.
- Delicate Bouquet – Flowering harmonic weave of lilac, lily of the valley, white jasmine, peach flower and ylang ylang.
- Pear & Violet – Rich enticing orchestration of pear, violet, sage, bergamot and tea tree.
- Sensual Camellia - Sultry enveloping elixir of tiare flower, gardenia, carnation petals and tonka bean.
- Scarlet Grapefruit - Crisp sensual merger of ruby red grapefruit, red currants, apple, mandarin, jasmine and amber.
- Royal Amber - Commanding imperial potion of pine needles, black pepper, eucalyptus, sandalwood, musk and myrrh.
- Samurai Woods- Mystical woodland blend of incense, bergamot, nutmeg, sandalwood and patchouli.
- Suede & Smoke- Smoldering vaporous mingling of tobacco leaves, moss, papaya, lapsangsouchong dark tea and green manda.
- Sweet Tobacco– Suave polished mix of sandalwood, Virginian cedar, musk and tonka bean
- Blue Absinthe- Intoxicating masterful brew of Absinthe, vetyver, blonde woods, basil and rosemary.
Though I have not had the opportunity to burn all ten scents yet, Suede & Smoke is my current favorite. If I were to judge it by its name alone, I would not have even picked it up. Luckily, my nose knew better and appreciated its complexity as it is both sweet and seductive at the same time with a slight tinge of fruitiness.

Do you think paraffin is better than soy wax since it’s cheaper?
