Scandinavian Beauty Lumene and Giveaway

lumene-suite-of-products-giveaway.jpg

Since the weather has been so dismal here, I’ve planned a short getaway to escape New York’s tumultuous climate.  In a couple of weeks, I’ll be in Stockholm soaking up some Scandinavian culture and its 18+ hours of continuous sunlight.

As I was doing some internet research about the region, I learned that Scandinavia is made up of five autonomous countries: Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Finland.  It got me wondering about Scandinavian contributions to the American way of life.

Thanks to our Nordic friends, we have uber-economical Ikea furniture, delicious Danish breakfast pastries, budget-friendly H&M fashions and the Lumene skin care line.

For more than 35 years, Scandinavian women have relied on Lumene skincare products to keep their skin luminous, youthful and radiant.   Unusual, but indigenous, ingredients like Arctic white peat, ligonberries, Finnish heather and Arctic cloudberries power the effective skin care line.

The Lumene cosmetic line is expansive and offers make-up, skin care, body care and men’s solutions.   I’ve tried a few products from the line and have found my new favorites – Vitamin C+ Protecting Day Cream and Time Freeze Instant Cooling Eye Stick.

Lumene Vitamin C+ Protecting Day Cream with SPF 15 ($19.99 US) defends skin from the harmful effects of the sun while the VitaOptimale compound (a blend of essential vitamins C, A, B, E, Arctic cloudberry, lingonberry, blueberry and cranberry seed oil) ensures my skin is aptly nourished.

Lumene Time Freeze Instant Cooling Eye Stick ($21.99 US) comes in a compact, twist-up tube that makes it easy to apply quick touch-ups.  The stick helps to instantly reduce dark circles and puffiness under the eyes.  I keep the Cooling Eye Stick in the fridge and dab when I need to rejuvenate after a long day of computer jockeying at work.

Products from the Lumene line range from $2.99 to $29.99 and is available at CVS, Ulta and Target.  For those in the New York area, Lumene is also available at your nearby Duane Reade drug stores.

Are you curious about the line and want to try Lumene for free?  Starting Monday, June 22nd, Lumene is giving away twenty (yes, 20!) Time Freeze Instant Cooling Eye Sticks to twenty Daily Cookie readers.

To enter for a chance to win one of these, just fill out the contest form below from now through Sunday, June 28th at 11:55pm PST.  We’ll draw twenty random winners and contact you via email once all the entries are in. Good luck!
