CHANEL Fall 2009: Murano Quad FOTD
For the fall season CHANEL introduces their new Venice Makeup Collection, inspired by shimmering facades and mosaics, and the sparkling aquatic colors of the city’s lagoons.
Now I’ve never been to Venice to experience the colors of the waters, but I have been to the gorgeous Caribbean islands of Turks & Caicos. The sparkling greens from the collection’s LES 4 OMBRES Quadra Eye Shadow ($56 US) in Murano really sparks memories of the island’s beautiful ocean hues.
This fall quad features four shades: a mossy green, a sweet pale pink shimmer, seafoam green and a dark green shimmer.
I love these grown-up version of greens from CHANEL and the countless ways I can already imagine using this eye palette. Here’s a simple day look you can do in minutes:
Start by applying the pale pink to your brow bone as a highlight. Next, with a fluffy shadow brush, apply the mossy green shade to the outer half of your lids, extending up to just beyond the crease.
Then, with a small shadow brush, apply the light, seafoam green to the inner half of the lids. Using a blending brush, slightly smooth out any harsh lines at the center and at the crease.
Finally, with a liner brush, pick up a the darkest green and line your upper and lower lashlines.
Finishing off the look, I brushed JOUES CONTRASTE Powder Blush ($42 US) in Fresque, a pale peach shimmer, on my cheeks.
CHANEL Venice Makeup Collection for fall is on counters now; do you have your eye on this Murano Quad Eye Shadow? What combinations would you put together with this?

Hi Marisol!
The shades are really deep and pretty! I wore the darkest shadow and Saturday and it’s not as smooth as the mossy green, but with a base, the finish is divine! Well worth the price tag for me

Hi Julie,
I love blushes! My favorites used to be pink-based but I think I’m started to gravitate towards corals; what about you?
PS – The quad is awesome too!
