Go Back to School with Sephora Express Services: High-Definition Makeup
Sephora is giving many beauty addicts a reason to go back to school and “brush up” on their skills. (Pun intended!)
Except this school offers three specific lessons only, and they are all very much adapted for fun.
Here are the details: Sephora stores around the nation are setting up Express Services where employees will give a quick makeover and mini lesson to customers explaining how to achieve the season’s most coveted looks. These complimentary lessons will leave you walking out of Sephora with a new look and the knowledge of how to re-create it.
Your only homework is practice, practice, practice! Here’s a look at Sephora’s lesson plan for High-Definition Makeup, which is great for wanting to look flawless anytime, anywhere regardless if a camera’s following you or not!
The writing on the worksheet may not be readable, so I’ve taken the liberty to re-type all the steps and products down for you gals. (No thanks necessary!) Note: Make Up For Ever is famous for their fabulous HD line!
Get ready for your close-up with skin that’s absolutely flawless-thanks to high-definition (HD) makeup. From perfecting primer to weightless foundation and traceless powder, you’re on your way to mastering a no-makeup makeup look that’s virtually undetectable on film and in real life.
STEP 1 – Prime: Using your fingers, smooth HD primer over skin to smooth and perfect; try Make Up For Ever HD Microperfecting Primer ($32 US).
** Tip: Make sure your hands are clean to prevent bacteria and germs from polluting your face!
STEP 2 – Buff: With a short rounded brush, like Sephora Brand Professional Platinum Air Brush #55 ($34 US), apply Make Up For Ever HD invisible Cover Foundation ($40 US) using sweeping circular motions.
** Tip: Sweep the brush working in the same direction as the hairs on your face naturally lie. For example, if the tiny hairs on your face lay flat upward, sweep the brush upward.
STEP 3 – Conceal: Apply Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer ($30 US) with a Sephora Brand Professional Platinum Concealer Brush #45 ($22 US) to camouflage areas that need it most-blemishes, brown spots, dark circles, and scars.
** Tip: To make the concealed spot look more natural, feather out the edges where you applied concealer to blend it into your skin.
STEP 4 – Set: Coat your Make Up For Ever HD Kabuki Brush ($39 US) with Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder ($30 US), tap off the excess and using the tips of the bristles, lightly press and roll the powder onto skin for an airbrushed finish.
** Tip: Apply a little more powder onto your blemishes with the concealer brush to even out your skin woes.

This sounds really great! HD makeup sounds really interesting but I’ve always wondered if it actually works like it’s supposed to.
Is this at all Sephora stores or just some?

Hi Valerie!
HD makeup is really great for flawless, natural coverage. You should try this at the Sephora Express Service Station to see if it will work for you!
This program should be available at all Sephora locations, but you might have to wait a little for it to show up at your local Sephora since it’s a new program!
You should definitely check it out!

I love MUFE HD foundation it gives a flawless look without feeling like you have on a pound of make up. I’ve never used their primer, but Sephora’s new program sounds great because everyone is always in a hurry and needs a quick and easy make up look to make them look their best. 123 sounds great!
