Hair Essentials: Remington Wet 2 Straight Flat Iron
Most of you may have already realized that I’m quite wordy and need to learn to better edit myself. I’m a natural chatterbox and it shows in my writing too.
If I discover an amazing beauty product or appliance, I have a hard time editing down my enthusiasm for the new find. This time, I’ll try to evolve past text and let pictures do the talking.
Check out the before and after pictures using the new Remington Wet 2 Straight 2” Flat Iron ($34.99 US).

Final results with Remington Wet 2 Straight
Yes, the results above were assisted by De Bernardis salon expert Michele Salvadori. However, having used the Wet 2 Straight flat iron at home for a few weeks now, I can attest that the results are still quite remarkable.
Unlike other flat irons, Remington Wet 2 Straight’s tourmaline, ceramic and exclusive vent-and-channel technologies makes hair so shiny, soft, and smooth that it has ousted my FHI straighter. The added benefit of being able to use the Wet 2 Straight iron while my hair is still damp saves me both time and sore arm muscles.
A word of advice – although the flat iron is called Wet 2 Straight, I’d recommend using it on damp hair, not dripping wet! I’ve noticed that if your hair is too wet, the steaming function really kicks in and creates super hot steam droplets onto your shoulders.
If you’re like me and like to style hair while still wrapped in a post-shower bath towel, steaming hot droplets can be painful. Besides, using the Wet 2 Straight flat iron on damp hair is faster anyway. It is best to towel-dry hair vigorously beforehand.
The Remington Wet 2 Straight straighter is available at your local Walmart and Target. The Wet 2 Straight flat iron is also available in a slimmer 1” plate ($29.99 US) size – perfect for short hair and bangs.
Happy Straightening!
