Happy Fourth of July!
It’s a gorgeous Saturday for the 4th of July holiday here in South Lake Tahoe.
But I’m sad to be missing out on barbecues and other eating/drinking shenanigans that usually occur on this day with the Boyfriend and our friends back in San Francisco.
The upside to spending the 4th up in the mountains with my mom is the fact that I’ll get to hang out at her nail salon, Escape Nail Spa (shameless plug!) in the Raley’s plaza, and get my tips did in patriotic red, white and blue fare later today.
Last year, we did this crazy fireworks art on my nails. I think this year I’m going to go with something more simple, although you never know what’ll happen once I sit in that chair
Do you like to get your nails done up in red, white and blue to commemorate the holidays? Share some of your 4th of July nail art with us!

Those are awesome! When I used to get acrylics, the only time I ever got nail art was during Christmas. Most of my employers are uber conservative and since I ussually take the last two weeks of the year off, that is when I use to go wild with the nail air. But really all I ever did was a french manicure with red & white tips to resemble a candy cane. Or red glitter tips…. I walk on the wild side, huh! LOL

Hey B!
I definitely had a great 4th, even though I skipped out on the fireworks this time. I saw them last year and they were gorgeous but I wanted to avoid the traffic afterwards
Hope you had a great holiday as well!

Hey Marisol!
Where’s the green in your Christmas design?! We gotta change that this year, LOL
When I was young, I remember my mom getting designs airbrushed on her acrylics for every single holiday! Those cute little snowmen were the best.
I didn’t do anything to crazy on my nails this year – just red polish with blue and white rhinestones – very sparkly for playing cards at the table!
