NP Career Day Palette Goes from Day to Night
Imagine the scenario of a classic career woman stuck with a last minute invitation to a fabulous party. Her outfit is okay, but the makeup? It needs some work.
She panics, but hooray! NP Career Day Palette ($29 US) comes to save the night! With five shadows, three lip colors, and one blush, created by celebrity makeup artist Napoleon Perdis for Target, this palette has almost everything your heart desires in one convenient package.
The Career Day Palette comes with sample face charts along with handy dandy instructions and numbered items on the palette for a no-fail easy to do FOTD.
The double-ended sponge tip applicator and double-ended brush make this convenient for emergencies. Any high-flying career gal could easily use this palette for an AM look and reapply in the PM for a pretty evening look.
I can imagine that the colors in this palette would suit many skin tones since there are a variety of warm, neutral, and cool undertones in it.
Top, from left: The first lip color is a milky, soft baby pink that would make an excellent nude shade. Next is a lovely warm golden color that has tons of shimmer and sparkle. The last lippie is a versatile coral with peach and pink and the blush is a dusty rose.
In this set, I love the lip colors! They are gorgeous and the texture is like whipped cream making them an absolute a dream to apply to the lips!
Bottom row swatches, from left: The first two eye shadows are pale, frosty highlighters with the first being a golden one and the second being a light pink. Next is a delightful plum with burgundy laced throughout. Following that is a basic brown is next, but it’s a wonderful matte which is perfect for day. And finally a matte navy makes the palette is complete.
Here is my FOTD using instructions for the PM face. The look is sophisticated and although this only took about 10 minutes for me to complete, it looks like it took much longer. The shadows are very pigmented and I love the fresh navy smoky eye in comparison the dull, been-there-done-that black smoky eye.
