Sephora Express Services – Part 2: Perfect Pout
Earlier this week, I talked about the Sephora Express Service program for High Definition Makeup. Here’s another lesson plan for the Perfect Pout. After all, who doesn’t want to play up their luscious lips?
We hate to kiss and tell, but there’s a trick to nailing the perfect pout. The secret? Layering. With the right regimen and a bit of practice, supersexy, ultralush lips will soon be yours.
STEP 1 – Prep: Gently remove dry, flaky skin with a lip exfoliator like Smashbox Emulsion Lip Exfoliant ($18 US) or condition with a balm. Then pat with a primer like DuWop Prime Venom ($20 US) which also acts as a plumping lip balm so you get double for your money!
** Tip: After applying the exfoliator, wipe it off with a warm washcloth. Then apply the primer right away to get maximum effect.
STEP 2 – Line: Outline your mouth with a neutral lip liner (in a shade closest to your natural lip color) and blend with a brush. Try Cargo The Reverse Lipliner ($14 US) in the shade closest to your skin tone.
** Tip: Lightly pat the lipliner after applying instead of using a brush. The line will look more blended into your skin.
STEP 3 – Layer: Apply a lipstick like Dior Addict High Shine Lipstick ($26 US) which has tons of color and shine and blend with a brush for a long-lasting finish.
** Tip: Blend with your finger for a softer, natural look. The heat from your finger will mold the lipstick to your lips.
STEP 4 – Perfect: Trace the outer edge of your lips with a reverse lip liner to keep color in place, and dab gloss at the center for shine. Cargo The Reverse Lipliner ($14 US) can be used again for this purpose and Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Reflect ($25.50 US) is amazing for shine. The brush applicator will give maximum control.
** Tip: After applying lipgloss to the center of the lips, lightly press lips together, and your lips will look shiny not gloopy.

You should definitely try out the steps for beautiful lips; maybe by using lippes you already have?
