Super (Not-So) Sheer Liquid Tints from Sonia Kashuk
Okay, here’s what’s up: I live in the dark ages. I’ve never tried Sonia Kashuk color cosmetics before despite how much I adore her brushes. Why? I couldn’t tell ya.
But now that I’ve seen the light in her new Super Sheer Liquid Tints, I think I’m going to need to get out from under the rock I’ve been living under and indulge myself in more Sonia Kashuk goodies.
Available at Target stores, Super Sheer Liquid Tints ($10 US), are definitely liquid-y and super, but not-so-sheer, as the name might imply. One pump offers plenty of product to go around and I find that you have to work fast or else you might get stuck walking around with splotchy patches of rouge on your cheeks.
Here’s how I go about applying these Liquid Tints:
Squeeze about half a pump onto the top of your hand and use your fingertips to dab the tint onto your cheeks where desired. Before the product dries, use a stippling brush like a MAC 188, or my trusty Lumiere Duo Fiber Optic Brush, to smooth and blend out the color.
** Tip: If you let the product dry for a few seconds before blending, the color is more intense. If you blend right away, you’ll find that the finish will be sheerer.
Sonia Kashuk Super Sheer Liquid Tints are available in three shades. Featured here are Rose (left) and Peony (right).
Rose is a berry shade with a tinge of glimmer for a more natural flush. It’s wonderful for minimalist, fresh face looks.
Today I’m wearing Peony, a cool blue-pink hue. It’s definitely a knock-your-socks-off kinda color but I was missing the luminosity factor in the finish. To remedy that, I swept a touch of MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Blonde over the liquid tint and ta-da! Instant glow!
Have you tried Sonia Kashuk’s Super Sheer Liquid Tints? What do you love or hate about them?

I can’t wait to try the rose which seems a little corally and would give me a little change from my Benefit Posietint ( LOVVVVVVE). I’m doing a Target run on Friday for sure!

I love Sonia Kashuk’s Tinted Moisturizer, btw (in addition to her brushes, which are fabulous). I will have to check these out — they look really nice for summer…

Hi Kasey,
I think you’ll love Peony if you love Posietint since it’s in the same color family. I find that I can get a brighter shade with this than Posietint too

Hi Sev,
I haven’t tried SK Tinted Moisturizer but I will add that to the list of more goodies I have to look into, LOL

Never even heard of these before. I got my sister a SK brush set but that is about all I know of the brand. The one you have on sort of reminds me of Coralista.

aww, thanks Katie_c!

Hey Marisol!
This is definitely more pink than Coralista
Which SK brush is your sister’s fave from the set you got her?
PS – I think another round of drinks is necessary; you up for it??

IDK which one is her fave but I know that she likes the set. She isn’t really into make up so it’s hard to tell. Although she did steal one of my MAC liners & Mally Roncal mascaras.
And heck yeah I am up for it. Let me know when you are around. Hopefully whatever day we pick the weather will be nice.

I love how they’re 9.99 but too bad there’s no target nearby where I live (wow, doesn’t that sound really silly??)

Hi Julie Marie,
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Bummer that there isn’t a Target near you – I’d die without them. But there’s always the wonder that is online shopping, right?
Hope you’re having a good night!
