Estée Lauder Fall 2009: Sensuous Gold
Estée Lauder’s Fall Makeup Collection, Sensuous Gold, combines the perfect shades of summer and fall to create a rich and luxurious color palette.
With warm gold and bronze shades mixed with roses and violets, this is one collection that caters best to gals with sun-kissed skin tones.
Limited edition for the season are two new Estée Lauder Signature Eyeshadow Quads ($35 US each). Rose Amethyst (shown) combines gold, copper, pale pink, and a lilac in one palette. Rose Gold features lighter shades of gold, peach and pinks.
These quads feature a hammered gold design on each shadow, but the shimmery, golden sheen is just a top layer disappears after you pick up the product with your brush after the first use, revealing shades of varying finishes – pearl, matte and metallic.
The other thing that also surprised me was when I swatch the colors, they appear much more subtle and demure. Yet when I apply these ultra-soft textured shadows, the shades are bolder on my eyes than expected.
The Sensuous Gold collection also includes four limited edition shades of Estée Lauder Signature Hydra Lustre Lipstick with Gold Shimmer ($19.50 US). From left to right – Terracotta, Plum Amethyst, Cinnamon, and Rose Amethyst.
I’m not usually a lipstick wearer, but these lippies have an ultra moisturizing formula and offer a full-color finish. The glint of gold shimmer in each one makes each beautiful.
Here I’m wearing Cinnamon on my lips but my favorite is the pale pink of Rose Amethyst.
Well folks, today is my last full day in San Francisco! The weather’s gorgeous and I’m wondering if I can steal an hour or two away from packing to enjoy the city. If you only had a couple of hours to enjoy San Francisco, what would you want to do here?

Very pretty and you have a nice glow!
If I only had a couple of hours left in SF I would eat at my favorite places or just eat at places that I’ve been meaning to.
And I would take last minute pictures at all the scenic areas.
But you might always go back so there’s no rush.

Hey Karrie!
It’s funny b/c I’ve been doing that for the past 3 weeks, eating my way through San Francisco, LOL. And my poor waistline has gained a couple inches because of it
Once I settle in Orange County, I’m hitting the gym to make up for it. Do you have any favorite workouts that you do that don’t seem like working out?

No, I don’t have any favorite workouts.
I don’t mind running on the treadmill as long as I’m listening to the ipod.
I’ve tried the Windsor Pilates dvd and thought it was kind of hard but does work.
I wouldn’t mind trying a different dvd to workout to, but I just walk the dog these days to get exercise.
