Prescriptives Well-Suited Fall Collection Suits Me Well
spent a good part of my morning drooling over Prescriptives’ new Well-Suited Fall Color Collection. And with me starting a new job in less than two weeks, I need the perfect makeup to pair with my own pinstripes and pearls to the office.
Prescriptives Director of Color Artistry Jillian Veran explains the focus behind the sophisticated and tailored look of Well-Suited. It’s a perfect statement for the look I want to achieve in the workplace, yet feel sexy at the same time:
We all love a good lip gloss, but there is something incredibly feminine about the bold statement of a lipstick…in this collection the look of a creamy nude lipstick is accentuated by a strong eye liner…create a sharp straight line or a smudgy, sexy look, but either way you will want to line the inside rim for extra drama.
The stars of this collection are the Well-Suited Eye Color Compacts ($40 US each). Available three shade collections: Warm, Cool, and Neutral, I have the Warm Compact featuring earthy brown tones and a smash of teal.
From left to right: Silk (vanilla beige pearl), Bean (soft brown satin), Olive (golden khaki pearl), Moss (matte deep teal), and Espresso (matte dark brown).
Keeping in par with my past experiences with Prescriptive shadows, the shimmer and satin-finished shades apply much nicer and blend very well. Moss and Espresso matte shades seem drier and take some time and care when applying – you might be able to tell the differences in the swatches as well.
Nonetheless, this doesn’t really phase me when I play with the compact. The combinations I come up with are really smart and sassy, truly capturing the essence of the Well-Suited Collection.
Here I’m wearing Moss on the outer 2/3 of my lids, darker close to the lashline and carefully blending out the color towards the crease to create a gradient effect.
Then I applied Olive in the crease and highlighted with Silk at my brow bone. I also dabbed a little bit if Silk in the inner corners of eyes to brighten them up.
To keep the color vibrant, I lined my top lashline with Prescriptives’ brand-spankin’ new Longwear Kohl Liner ($17.50 US) in Blue Kohl, a shade that’s closer to teal than a true blue. It went well to accentuate the Moss I applied to my lids.
I finished my look with Colorscope Lip Color ($17.50 US) in Posh Nude (limited edition), a shimmerless, creamy nude pink.
I’m pretty head over heals with the shades in the palette, although I give it a B overall when I factor in textures of the shadows.

Hi Robin,
I really like the blue too, it’s not bright but it’s definitely bold enough
