Take a Peek at Benefit’s New Lip Glosses
Happy Friday! I hope everyone has some weekend plans coming up!
This weekend I’m at Lake Tahoe visiting my mom before I move to Orange County next week. It’s much nicer to do the four hour drive from San Francisco versus the nine it would take if I drove up from southern California, right ladies? Eeep!
The weather in Tahoe right now during the summer is always warm. To keep things light and airy I packed along a sheer makeup palette that includes these shimmery, new shades of lip gloss from Benefit Cosmetics ($18 US each).
Benefit’s new Lip Gloss collection replaces the brand’s former glosses to bring us eight pretty, sheer, and shimmery shades.

These glosses are thick and gooey, making application a little hard, but are not sticky. I love, love the soft apricot scent. I actually stood in my bathroom sniffing these glosses while swatching them, LOL – don’t judge! 
Friends in High Places, a sparkling raspberry, has the most color payoff and shimmer of the three. However the shimmer might be the reason why this gloss was a little gritty on the lips for me.
Life on The A List, a pale pink, is my favorite of the bunch. It’s sheer and delicate, perfect for the look I want this weekend.
Zone Out, a golden nude, is a good alternative to Life on The A List if you prefer golds over pink. It also has a touch more shimmer, too. Me, personally, I love them both!

Pretty lipglosses! I loved Benefit’s old ones, especially “Kiss Me”. These new ones look just as good though!
