What To Pack: For The Outdoorsy Babe
I’m a self-professed indoors kinda gal but I’ll never turn down roughin’ it outdoors just to prove that I can hang with the boys.
But, what I’ll never do is go without some kind of beauty routine no matter where I am.
I didn’t get a chance to go camping this year like I did last summer, but my friend started a two-week road trip with lots of stops at various campsites so I offered up these necessities to make her time away from the wonders of modern luxuries a little less uncivilized
:
While roughin’ it, you may find yourself without a clean source of water. Always carry some towelettes like Ponds Clean Sweep Wet Cleansing Towelettes ($6 US). These are sure to keep your face clean from nature’s grime and refreshed after a day of hiking.
They’re also great for double duty if you need to clean up your hands as well.
Ojon Rub-Out Dry Cleanser To Go ($24 US) might just be your saving grace after 3-days of pitching tents, roasting marshmallows, and no shower. This will “erase” impurities, toxins, excess oil, and product build-up, tying you over until you get home.
On a trip like this, ponytails are the perfect for afternoon hikes, fishing, and playing lakeside. Carry a few Goody Ouchless Elastics in your backpack to create a quick and easy hairstyle.
Sunblock is a must in the outdoors to protect from UV rays. Your daily SPF 30 won’t make the cut when you’ve been under the sun for hours. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch with SPF 55 or 70 ($10 US) is light-weight and non-greasy. It’s also sheer so you don’t have to walk around with a layer of white cream on your body
Decleor Fresh Hydrating Mist ($23 US) is a rich hydrating blend of lavender and petit grain essential oils, orange, kiwi, and sweet clover essential waters. Use it to freshen up in the heat while moisturizing in skin.
